Seriously. Imagine how much of mother earth could have been saved if Neal, his band, his crew, Stills, Nash, and Crosby all decided to forgoe the music and money and just subsistance farmed their whole lives.

More from touring and its massive carbon footprint. Those tour buses and big rigs sure weren’t hybrids; some might have even had two-stroke diesel engines (gasp).

This is where the disconnect occurs.

forget the money.

Oil is energy.

energy converted equals life.

In addition, EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING we want and need comes from and has ALWAYS come from the ground.

Everything !!!

Heh. “Big ag” would never let them do it, even though left-wing dogma (the Manifesto) insists on “combin(ing) agriculture with manufacturing industries” and as good lefties they’re supposed to agree.

... Neil Young is a joke.

If he's still performing, does he make jokes about being an old man when he does the song?

I never got the attraction of Young 40+ years ago. I doubt that I'm going to start to listen to his "moral pronouncements" now.

I remember a stand up comic on one of those late night shows in the 70s making fun of the solo on Down By the River.

Sure Mr. Young, let’s keep them First Nation forever. Nope, we don’t want them out of poverty or to have opportunity—what will all the Hollywood do-gooders look at and pretend to protect and care about then?

Mr. Young’s guitar stings come from OIL.

Neil Young plays a steel string guitar. What am I missing?

That’s hilarious.

Now I’m gonna have that whiny voice in my brain for the rest of the day.

In the meantime, someone should tell Neil...they don’t wanna kill them, they just plan to stuff cash in their mouths to shut up and let them drill.

Neil Young uses Herco Flex 50 picks, which are made of nylon.

His in particular I don’t know.

There are some exotics for folks that like to spend money, bone, horn, etc
http://www.dugainpicks.com/

Most I believe are made from Nylon or Celluloid.

To create nylon, the manufacturer combines two sets of molecules. One set has an acid group on each end, and the other set has an amine group.

http://www.wisegeek.org/how-is-nylon-made.htm

Celluloids are a class of compounds created from nitrocellulose and camphor.
