SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) A prominent California marine biologist has been sentenced after pleading guilty to violating the Marine Mammal Protection Act by feeding killer whales in the wild, a misdemeanor.
Nancy Black was sentenced Monday to three years of probation, $12,500 in fines and 300 hours of community service.
Black, who runs a popular whale watching tour on Monterey Bay, had pleaded guilty to one count of violating the federal act.
Federal prosecutors initially accused Black of feeding orcas in 2004 and 2005 and altering a videotape of her encounters with whales then lying about it.

Hey man, screw Benghazi. When killer whales are being fed then it gets serious.
I remember reading about this case. If memory serves, it’s an even more clearcut case of malicious prosecution than it appears on the surface. OTOH, may very well be a liberal, so you gets what ya pays for in some cases.
3/4’s of the planet covered by water for the whales to roam and the feds are worried that the whales will become dependent on feeding by this guy....
“A prominent California marine biologist”
She’ll get sympathy from me. These people love to impose their wishes on us mere peons.
NO sympathy!
Can’t feed wildlife because they become dependant on someone to feed them and become aggressive when not fed. Where I live in Florida, if you feed a gator, they kill it because of the danger. So why are we feeding 50 million people in this country with free food? To make them aggressive when not fed?
How many people have been screwed by laws this biologist pushed. No sympathy from me.
Was she feeding them junk food?

DONT FEED THE WELSH
Actually, this has been quite toned down. She really produced and directed underwater videos to show the whales and that’s what stirred them up.

Every one in the state of California for starters. If she is “prominent” in California she is evil.
Thank God all other problems have been solved, so we had time to spend 10 years prosecuting someone for feeding the fish.
(OK, mammals)

That is a very racist thing to say....
Shame on you!!!!
When the country collapses economically and the roving hordes of welfare thugs come to the country you better do your patriotic duty and saw your arm off and cook it on your grill while serving it to the incoming welfare thug. Then you must immediately slit your own throat while reciting Obama Akbar...
Otherwise you will be a very racist bigot...
(the above is sarcasm)
Most people don’t realize they did a DYNAMIC ENTRY on her home:
Like 15 ninjya-kooks hopped up in black nomex, ski-masks and machine-guns KICKED HER DOOR DOWN, ran inside and smashed all her stuff.
Originally they were saying crazy stuff, like 20 years in prison and a million bucks.
Nice, huh?
In nearby Santa Cruz they ticketed jet-skiers trying to rescue drowning surfers —I’m serious.

Progressives want to treat their fellow citizens like animals.... Until it gets in their way of cementing their power then it is all about feeding the animals as long as the animals are conditioned which lever to pull....
Next time a Progressive tells me humans are nothing but mere animals I should ask them why we feed them but have laws against feeding wild animals?
