The people who discovered this issue are the real problem because they pointed it out. They are trying to keep that Principal down. She’s just trying to get over.

Must have been a bunch of racists that pointed out this problem and corruption.
That’s usually what we hear when these people are caught.

Exactly. A bunch of redneck racists are trying to stir up trouble. But she’s not going to let them hurt those children. She is going to rise above their Hate. She is going to stay strong and stay focused on education.

It just baffles my mind how people could be so opposed to the public education of oppressed inner city minorities that they’d try to smear this woman’s reputation.

There was nothing in the article that implied she was a Christian.

In NYC, you MUST belong to the union in order to work as a teacher. You have no choice. And the ultra-liberal Unity party within the union is firmly entrenched, although a new, more conservative party made a decent showing at the last election.

So, your statement "...teachers continuing to support the unions that are their own undoing...." is not exactly true. Teachers may very well not want to support the union, but they must in order to have a job.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

all govt workers including military need to have 401k's with a modest donation from the govt, and that's it.....

For the vast majority of fedgov workers that's how it is. There are a few people still under the old civil service retirement system but that number is dropping rapidly (almost all of them have already retired).

I don't know about the military retirement system.

and remove any rights these people have to lifetime employment no matter how incompetent....

There is no right to lifetime employment, but there are huge obstacles to removing unproductive people. These obstacle need to be removed.

> The principal — Marcella Sills, who joined PS 106 nine years ago — is a frequent no-show... did not come to school last Monday. On Tuesday, she showed up at 3:30 p.m. On Wednesday, The Post found her at home in Westbury, LI, all day before emerging at 2:50 p.m. — school dismissal time. Wearing a fur coat, she took her BMW for a spin.

Thanks GilGil.

The students would have better conditions in prison. Oh, wait, in a way they are in prison.
