With a "personal friend" like Mika Brzezinski, Chris Christie doesn't need enemies. Yesterday and again today, the Morning Joe co-host insisted that the media's focus needed to be exclusively on Christie and the bridge matter, and that any discussion of President Obama's involvement with the IRS, Benghazi and other scandals was a "distraction."
Today, relying on her personal relationship with Christie, Mika took things a giant step further, declaring "we know Chris Christie and we know he would have known." Mika was in effect claiming that Christie lied when he said at his marathon press conference that he had only very recently learned that his aides had ordered the bridge closures.

My state's governor probably can't tell you what he had for lunch yesterday.
We know Obama would have known about the IRS oppressing conservatives
Obama ordered the IRS to oppress and audit American citizen conservatives and Republicans: yet the media and government say that is not news. This affected the election as the IRS didnt allow 500 conservative groups to form in time for the election. so Obama rigged the last election. and still the IRS is oppressing conservatives. We dont live in a free country anymore
this is just one out of thousands of abuses of Power this socialist tyrant Obama has committed. If Palin or a Republican were president the media would have drummed them out of office for a number of fake scandals by now
My governor is busy tweeting from the North American International Auto show. I doubt he’s taking calls to approve lane closures on highways and bridges.
Awwww.... I bet Christie feels bad that his back hurt their knives.
I have a question.
If Chris Christie ‘ordered’ this bridge closure, then how would his ‘opponent’ get blamed for it? It would appear his ‘opponent’ cannot and did not order it closed, so... ?
She is her father’s daughter..
Having finished her tirade against Christie, Mika said, “ but Joe, rather than continuing to denigrate Christie I’;d like to tell the audience more about my magnificent breasts. Thy are still very pert and lovely and I think we should devote an entire show to them since I know so many people are interested in them. They are so lovely I just can’t resist caressing them myself ..”
Half that bridge is in New York. Didn’t anyone at Gracie Manor ask why half the lanes were closed?
In a normal state, not only would a governor not know about lane closures but his top aides would have not ordered lane closures for political reasons as was very clearly the case here. Of course, we are talking about New Jersey....
That ain’t coffee in her cup!
Agreed. The traffic lane closings temporarily affected thousands in the N.Y.-N.J. area. Obamacare is and will continue to negatively affect millions throughout the nation, not for a few hours, days or weeks but on a permanent basis.
I dont mind the Libs going after Christie. Theyre actually helping us Conservatives by carrying the water on this. When we get to the 2016 primaries the focus can be on opposing Christie because hes a hateful, vengeful and vindictive bully, not that hes a RINO. Doing so will help prevent the media and Dems from inciting an ideological deathmatch that results in a weakened GOP nominee.
Excellent analysis. Although the leftmedia is transparent in their attempt to (a) destroy Christie's political career and, (b) deflect public attention from Obama's screw-ups, a damaged Chris Christie will be much easier to defeat and give a true conservative a shot at the 2016 GOP presidential nomination. The GOP establishment was banking on Christie as their 'compromise' candidate, now they'll have to look at Jeb Bush, who is a non-starter.
If anyone were trying to harm anyone, I would think someone on Christie’s staff was trying to harm Christie.
Ask Thadeus McCotter how that works. His own staffers set out to destroy him and did. They committed election fraud and cost him a slot on the ballot and today they’re facing charges.
I don’t have any use for Christie but my sense of right and wrong doesn’t allow me to behave like a liberal and help the left. Call it tempting God or tempting fate but I fear this will come back to bite us hard.
“We Know ...” Why is it that ignorant liberals speak for all?
You think Obama didn’t know about the IRS oppressing conservatives? he did and ordered it
This all seems preposterous. Contracts to do repair work like this aren’t scheduled at the whim of politicians.
_________________________________________________________
Therein lies the problem.
There was no ‘repair’ work.
There was no notice given about the lane closures.
No one on NJ side of Port Authority would say why lanes closed or when they would reopen.
It was someone on the NY side of the bridge who reopened the lanes.
I have no idea if CC knew about the bridge. But I do believe that CC has portrayed himself as ‘tough’ and it sounds like in NJ...they play rough politics.
The problems I have re CC don’t stem from this issue. But I will also add, that I’m not too excited about politicians abusing their power for political purposes...and making thousands of citizens pay the price.

Mika: ‘We Know Barack 0bama And We Know He Would Have Known’
I agree - I think the much bigger IRS scandal is tied as closely to Obama as the bridge thing is to Christie.
However, I am still happy to see Christie taken down a notch for the following reasons: (1) he is the preferred candidate of the Rove crowd; (2) he selfishly scheduled the special election to replace Lautenberg for the purpose of benefiting himself even though it had to have hurt the chances of the GOP candidate running against Booker; (3) he is pro-amnesty; (4) IMHO, there’s no way he would be elected president because most Americans are going to find him too obnoxious, so I would rather not be saddled with him as the GOP nominee; (5) he went out of his way to make Obama look good after Sandy in the run-up to the presidential election and pushed for a pork-laden Sandy relief bill; (6) he gave a really lame speech at the Republican convention; and (7) the fact that a man with the job flexibility and support that comes with being a governor still cannot get a grip on his weight speaks, again just in my personal opinion, to insecurities and/or an absence of discipline that I don’t want to see in the WH.
Morning Jerk.
Therefore, since we “know” you are guilty, that is adequate proof.
The depth to which we have gone under the Libs.
Don’t like Christie, don’t want him nominated, but he has been a decent governor here - the best in years.
What you are seeing now - a near total news black out of the slimely CRIMES perpetrated by Obama and his fellow thugs in Washington by the mainstream media, while focussing on what is essentially a tempest in a teapot, will be repeated with the NEXT GOP Presidential Wanna-be, and the NEXT one.
It is a repeat of what happened in the GOP Primary, only much earlier, and more effective.
Its scarey and I hope it blows up in their faces because it is SO transparent and SO overdone.
