As the recent election in Virginia demonstrated, even if the GOP-e doesn’t back an independent run by their defeated candidate (e.g. Charlie Crist) it will actively support the Democrat against the conservative Republican nominee. There have been a couple of disastrous Tea Party backed nominees in the last two elections but most of those nominees were decent people who were kneecapped by the sore loser GOP-e.
No! As a FReeper learned me yesterday, we have a Sore Loser statute in TX that prevents a candidate from switching parties after being defeated in the primary.
Hawkeyefan? I forget the freeper’s name...
A Republican-Tea Party candidate on January 14 was elected to the Arkiansas State Senate from Jonesboro, taking a seat held by a Democrat former Senate President.
People in TX like Cornball, but no one knows why.
Has any major Reupublican in TX come out against Cornball? Not a one to my knowledge
Well thats good news but it takes more than 3 senators to overthrow the RINO leadership.
That is one reason I beg all Georgians to ignore the smears that are starting on Dr. Paul Broun and elect him to fill Saxby Chambliss’s seat next year. Broun is a true conservative and he will stand with Rand and Ted and Mike.
SC also has a “sore-loser” law.
I’m with you Georgia Girl. I just hope Broun doesn’t stick his foot in his mouth as other Republican candidates have done in the past - but Georgia’s boneless chicken Zaxby Chambliss has to go and we need a real conservative. Unfortunately, the Atlanta area pulls the state left very hard. We’ll see what happens.
Ted Cruz Ping!
If you want on/off this ping list, please let me know.
Please beware, this is a high-volume ping list!
That’s our problem. The money is with those who are Republican in spirit, not with those who are conservative in spirit, and those who are corrupted by money will always vote to get more of it, even if it means erasing our borders.
They are short-term thinkers. Wealth in our time.
We need to wake those people up as to the danger to their children and grandchildren. They think their wealth will shield them forever. They are so used to their money solving all problems that they can’t see the danger.
Won't happen. Texas has a "sore loser" law: lose in the primary, you can't enter the general as an independent.
” - - - the Senate Conservatives Fund, FreedomWorks, and the Club for Growth can raise and spend enough money to compete in GOP primaries - - - “
Thank’s for the information.
Did any come out against Dewhurst? I can't recall one.
Insurgents???
Patriots!!!!
Establishment - Marxist enablers.
People we need to take of the language.
Remember the power of language and the way it builds perception.
