IRS Targeting and 2014
Wall Street Journal ^ | 1/16/2014 | Kimberley A. Strassel

Posted on 01/16/2014 9:20:19 PM PST by ReaganÜberAlles

"President Obama and Democrats have been at great pains to insist they knew nothing about IRS targeting of conservative 501(c)(4) nonprofits before the 2012 election. They've been at even greater pains this week to ensure that the same conservative groups are silenced in the 2014 midterms."

[GG] I am so close to just saying screw everything and delving into an “underground economy”...

I hope you don't mean "going Galt" .... that's what they want you to do. What they want you NOT to do is go out and push cards or do phone bank or fundraising work for Steve Stockman, Michele Bachmann, or The Sarah Who Needs No Last Name.

They would hate that.

I know.

No one ever said it would be easy to replace the income tax with the FairTax and abolish the IRS.

But we must do it!

Well, my thought is that we could and would continue to wage war against the LIEberals and RINOs FRom the Gulch.

Guerrilla warfare is what comes to mind.

I forewarned of this. Obama will continue until someone stops him.

And no one will stop him.

Hillary, you might as well relax. You aren't running for anything in 2016. Barack Obama has a third term to complete.

Its been a while since I was “stevied”...hehehe

BTW, I have a pretty good prediction for you...Since Corn-holio seems to want to survive the primaries so bad, he’ll jump into bed with anyone to help him do so...

The Houston Comical is all too happy to do so at this time...

I bet the Comical endorses Cornyn before the primary...And when that is all said and done, they will back the democrat for the election in November...

BTW, when you do the research, the Houston Chronicle article they mention in those ads on radio and TV, was really an “editorial”...Not a fact based piece of journalism...Opinion more than anything that accused Stockman of “shady” business and financial dealings...

Which was debunked at the end of the day...

Cornyn must really be sweating to the oldies if they are attacking Stockman personally, and not debating the “issues”...

Speaks volumes to many people...

Cornyn needs to be retired...Just my opinion...

I support a 50 State solution.

The Fair Tax still has too much control over individuals who run businesses and requires a bureaucracy of hundreds of employees to manage it.

Solution: The federal government sends out 50 bills once a year to each state. The size of the bill is based on the number of adults in the state as determined by the most recent census. The states then figure out how to pay it.

With 50 states experimenting on means to collect the tax, eventually the most efficient; least expensive to the state, business, and individual; and compassionate measures would emerge.

However....If it is a choice between what we have now and a Fair Tax, I support the Fair Tax.

Philosophically, I am not opposed to your idea of a “50 state” solution. Since the local governments and states are supposed to be the “melting pot” of governance re: Our FRee Republic and concepts/ideas/workable solutions to improve life in our FRee Republic, it makes eminent sense to me.

HST, the immediate solution to the USA’s economic problems is The Fair Tax Act of 2013 HR 25/S 122. See http://www.fairtax.org for more information.

And, in point of fact, Fair Tax legislation allows for each state to collect the tax via their respective state sales tax agency. The 5 states without a sales tax would be encouraged to establish a sales tax or the Feds would set up a mechanism and collect the tax. States would be encouraged to harmonize their sales tax with the FairTax to avoid confusion.

The IRS would be reduced to an agency that monitored state FairTax collection activities, and retailers and the states would be paid a small percentage of their respective tax receipts to cover administrative costs.

The ordinary citizen who was not involved in the ownership or management of a retail store would NEVER be hassled by federal tax agent again!

And, Americans would be FRee to work, earn, save and invest without having to divulge their private financials to a busybody government drone! Their PRIVATE financial affairs would once again, BE PRIVATE!

We are talking FReedom here!

That's why freedom of the press works only if there is more than one press.

In 1787 the Federalists screwed the (majority) Antifederalists by holding their newspapers and letters at the Post Office for weeks and weeks, "losing" some mail, and generally monopolizing printed opinion (because all the newspaper publishers were Federalists).

We were lucky, very lucky, to get the Bill of Rights -- but it's illuminating to know that the Civil War, FDR, stolen elections and Obama were all baked into the cake that long ago. There's a book out there (that reminds me!) that I need to go get .... an old one from the 60's or 90's or something, but it was referenced in a recent National Review Online article about "motivated" splinter-group advocacy and how they roll the majority every time (by cheating, lying, blackmail, extortion, bribery, etc. etc.). The book is not at all new, but I've never heard of it --- gee, wonder why? Anyway, I need to read it so I can get totally depressed. Thus passeth representative democracy.

So now that I'm retired after paying a lifetime's worth of income taxes, now you're going to reload me with a national sales tax, and tax my savings too?

Not with my consent, grifter.

Why don't you and your business partners just get on down the road to some no-tax/low-tax Central American thugocracy? Pick on them instead.

So the Chronicle's propaganda efforts have "gone black" .... not surprising considering the moral tenor of that place since the former editor of the Albany (N.Y.) fishwrap took over and, per the publisher's instructions, jerked the paper sharply to the left and gay, gay, gay 24/7/365.

You will be paying taxes until you die, and the odds are that you will pay more in income taxes as a retiree than you would pay in FairTax.

Selfish bastards like you are the kind of people that have helped destroy America!

Think outside your selfish box and seriously consider what kind of country you want to live in!

The issue is FReedom and Liberty, and so long as we have an income tax and an IRS we will not be a FRee people!
