Obama: 'I'll act on my own' agenda (Hussein's "year of action")
The Hill ^ | 1/18/14 | Justin Sink

President Obama vowed to use his executive authority to usher in a "year of action" even if Congress remains gridlocked, he said in his weekly address.

"Where Congress isn’t acting, I’ll act on my own to put opportunity within reach for anyone who’s willing to work for it," the president said.

Obama pointed to a recent trip to North Carolina to announce the formation of a new public-private manufacturing institute as evidence of how he could act alone to spur economic activity.

"It’s a partnership between companies, colleges, and the federal government focused on making sure American businesses and American workers win the race for high-tech manufacturing and the jobs that come with it – jobs that can help people and communities willing to work hard punch their ticket into the middle class," Obama said.

In recent weeks, the White House has stressed that Obama would use a mixture of executive action and the bully pulpit — a "pen and phone strategy" — to rally the nation around his economic agenda.

On Thursday, Obama held a conference at the White House with university presidents and nonprofit groups designed to improve college access for low-income students.

At a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Obama said he would talk to agency heads about using "all the tools available to us, not just legislation, in order to advance" his policy priorities.

The president did outline some goals that he hoped to accomplish with the help of lawmakers.

“I want to work with Congress this year on proven ways to create jobs, like building infrastructure and fixing our broken immigration system,” Obama said.

Mr. President, with all due respect you need to grow up.

Nobody is preventing opportunity from reaching anyone. What you’re really talking about is forcing your radical political agenda over Americans interests and the Constitution.

Enough of your loose speak.

He’s going to put “opportunity” within the reach of anybody?

How? Has he invented something? Does he have organizational skills? Does he have a clue what society needs, and will therefore buy?

Of course not. He’s just going to shovel more money to his political supporters.

HOW.

THE.

FROG.

DOES.

AMNESTY.

CREATE.

JOBS.

This guy might as well have said, “I want to work with Congress this year on proven ways to create jobs, like building infrastructure and making whoop-whoop-whoop noises while spinning on the carpet,” Obama said.

The man commands no respect. He has destroyed the meaning and grandeur of the office. He’s no different than a dictator. He commands respect through thuggery, which is neither admirable nor commendable.

That being said, this is what Americans WANT. The Americans who voted for this bozo, apparently a majority if you believe the polls, wanted someone who would take charge and get done what he promised. Sadly, this unilateral execution of legislation will garner approval from his base more than getting things done the right way would.

We’ve become Weimar Germany.

What with the new electronic voting machines that are hackable, controllable, and manipulated there may never be a fair election again....we will long for the days of the “hanging chad” and the number two pencil.

That is A.OK. to McConnell and Boehner.

The GOP has ruined America by attacking Gov. Palin in 2008
and foisting the loser rat Willard on everyone to
cement Obama’s standing.

There may never be a fair election again: new electronic voting machines are hackable, controllable, and can be manipulated by crooked pols.........

Dems no longer screw around with pedestrian "vote-tampering." They mobilize the full force of the government to harass and destroy conservative opposition.

In fact, Dems openly attribute that they did not do worse in 2012 b/c of their ability to use the IRS to suppress these groups.

One WSJ writer pointed out, the Dems used “reverse engineering”...analyzing what was most successful in destroying conservative groups, and then writing it into current law.

And what's more astounding is that Dems are heralded by the Entitlement Crowd for this so-called "ability"----it's why Boobamba seems unconcerned as 2012 approaches.

“The man commands no respect. He has destroyed the meaning and grandeur of the office.’

Where is the meaning and grandeur in American society in general anymore? We are reality shows, twerking, song lyrics that are cynical and disgusting, athletes that murder, young people who ‘knock out’ the unsuspecting for fun, etc. etc.

He is gearing up for the State of the Union address.

As much as I can't stand even hearing this man's voice ...

...this next major speech is going to be very historic in nature. We are about to see Dictator 0bama unveiled. Where other President's have used the State of the Union to applaud the COUNTRY'S success and set future guidelines, 0bama will use the perception of gridlock to "execute" dictatorial control.

Brookings study points to Harry Reid and Senate Democrats as source of gridlock

If there is anyway possible this 'speech' must be stopped or at least be forced to move from the House of Representatives. Symbolically it would do real Patriots good to claim that which belongs to We the People. Nothing will happen, Boehner doesn't have the balls to do anything to insult this regime. His life may very well be threatened to take any action against 0bama that would embarrass him. The best we could hope for would be for congressional critters to get up and walk out during the speech. Not just stand and turn their backs, but "march" out the doors, not just shout..."you lie," but to acknowledge the treason being committed by the usurpation of power by this regime.

The UnVeiling of a Rogue Regime (vanity) Yeah, that's a vanity written last year by me. I stand by what I've said many times in this forum, this guy is not ignorant or stupid, as much as many want to dismiss him as such. He is accomplishing 'the agenda' in quantitative leaps. It could only be called ignorance if he were held accountable, instead we here people calling him a god and godlike!

This speech is going to be IT. He is declaring our tripod form of government is over and tossing it on the scrap heap of history.

There are ‘useful idiots’ in the media, academia and Hollywood who are salivating at the thought of Mr Obama seizing power while and becoming a dictator.

A few have actually said so—

“I want to work with Congress this year on proven ways to create jobs, like building infrastructure..."

More "shovel-ready jobs" that aren't so shovel-ready? And didn't he just say be WASN'T going to wait for Congress but was going to use his pen and a phone? Or maybe the phone is to call up Congress critters to tell them what dirt the NSA dredged up on him.

I have never referred to Obama as “Mr. President” or even “president”. He ain’t my president and never will be.
