Rogers: Russia may be behind Snowden leak
Politico ^ | January 18, 2014 | By Adam Sneed

The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee says Edward Snowden likely received help stealing information from the National Security Agency — and that help may have come from Russian intelligence officials.

In a pre-recorded interview for NBC’s “Meet the Press” with David Gregory, Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) questioned how the former NSA contractor arranged travel out of the United States before leaking the trove of secret documents and eventually making his way to Russia.

“Let me just say this. I believe there’s a reason he ended up in the hands, the loving arms, of an FSB agent in Moscow,” Rogers said. “I don’t think that’s a coincidence.”

Rogers said several factors of the saga raise questions, that some of the things Snowden did in attaining the information “were beyond his technical capabilities,” according to an early transcript from the show.

In August, Russia granted Snowden one year’s asylum after he spent five weeks in legal limbo in Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport, a decision that has been an ongoing source of tension with the United States. The Obama administration has called for Snowden’s extradition so he can stand trial. . .

Puhleeze. You seriously believe Woolsey?

He's been pretty darn good in his concerns and criticisms of KGB Putin.

ETL continues to ignore (or support) the NSA’s police state tactics to overthrow our Constitution exposed by Snowden.

The issue isn’t about Woolsey’s precience.

The subject is Snowball.

Gee, that sounds very familiar.

Problem is most of today’s critics of Russia are the biggest supporters of Communist China.

Problem is some people just don’t seem to get it that the Russians and ChiComs are now close military allies.

I dont support Free Trade with Communist China, so I do not support the Communist Chinese. I want to tariff them til they collapse

Are you willing to end Free Trade with Communist China? If not, then you will be supporting Communist China, and, by proxy, Russia. Heck we still give FOREIGN AID to Communist China...even though we have sent them all our jobs and wealth

Most people today it seems are so freaking dumb that it takes very little to win them over.

Lol...is that why you spam every thread that has Russia as a keyword with a series of pictures and articles unrelated to the subject of the thread?

Its almost like your desperate to change the subject anytime the conversation turns to present day Russia and isn't sufficiently negative.

Frankly, its a little bit creepy to see how consistently you do this and how quickly you produce these preformatted posts complete with links and photos.

What gives?

It looks like his precious Stasi, oops, NSA, doesn't have "phone calls from our employees to Russia" very high on its list.

I’m still not sure what I think about Snowden. I am still trying to understand what anonymous is—some have said it is CIA—I think it’s many things.

It is interesting that Project Tyler and Mayhem 2012 started coming out in early 2012, it almost seems a prequel to Snowden.

I’m also still very curious about the hacker Jeremy Hammond who was arrested that hacked government and government connected sites.

This Politico article is just more B.S. covering the real problem. The problem is not Snowden. The real problem is...

1. The NSA has routinely been violating the Constitution; spying on civilians, spying on members of Congress, spying on NSA operatives’ own former girlfriends.

2. With this mountain of data they managed to not thwart the terrorist bombing in Boston last year; a bombing that could have potentially been prevented by listening to old-fashioned intel provided by... the Russians!

You are about the dumbest guy on here. First of all, you don’t even know how to post quotes properly. You mixed mine with yours. Second, I’ve only told you 5 or 6 times now on various threads THAT I DO NOT SUPPORT FREE TRADE WITH COMMUNIST CHINA. Understand now???

Some attacking present day Russia and its leadership think it is OK that the US continues to economically support a one party totalitarian Communist state that is a direct threat to the USA, in Communist China...and will attack you if you bring up their hypocrisy

Russia is no choir boy....but when I go to the store I see another enemy much more often “Made in China”. I do not see “Made in Russia”

I would say you are the ignorant one here. You keep attacking one of the few nations that actually is standing up to creeping homosexuality and other perversions affecting their culture

Is this your real issue with Russia?

How the hell is it "unrelated to the thread" to remind or inform people here of how f-upped Putin is? Of some of the things he's done in the recent past, and is doing TODAY. A piece about 2013 Russia-China war games is not exactly ancient history, you dope. Do you think I'm going to just sit back and let you Russia butt kissers spread your crap?

Snowden has to be discredited by the Washington Establishment.

I think of him as a bit of a crazy guy who’s conscience was touched by the wrongdoing of the NSA in collecting all this data on us in violation of our constitutional rights.

He knew he had to get out of the country and his journey to evade the authorities led him to Mother Russia.

SPIN FROM A GOP-E RINO CONGRESSMAN DOESN’T HOLD MUCH WATER WITH ME.....
