But he would allow his son to dress up like a thug.

or a flaming homosexual.

So when an athlete begins his pro-football career, he will be 22 years old or so.

Well, the problem with that is the 22 year old doesn't wake up one day and decide to become pro.

Typically, in my observation as a mother to a young boy, he has been groomed since he was about seven to believe he is going to be the next big thing in the NFL by a mom and dad in the suburbs who have a vicarious living problem and "competitive issues". So, for every 22 year old with real potential to go big there are thousands who have been getting bounced around on their head for ten plus years to secure Mom and Dad's dream.

Not saying I agree with O, just saying that is the reality.

"Time to get out your pen and write an order to ban football. After all you are the emperor."

I think it would be awesome if he ordered the Patriots to make him starting QB for today's game. Similar to what the emperor did on that movie Gladiator. I bet the ratings for that game would be around 250 million viewers.

I agree with everything you wrote.

Personally, I would rather encourage my children to play different sports and activities other than football. Yes of course, they don’t wake up at 22 waiting for their name to be called on draft day. It starts a long before that moment.

Lots of parents order their children around and try to control their lives, no matter how old they are.

Yes of course. Fortunately or Unfortunately, my parents never tried to control me. They watch my success and blunders from a distant.

Those issues are far less important than Obama’s view on the NFL...

“I would not let my son play pro football,” he said.”

As we all know, 12 year olds play pro football.

“Some data suggests that helmeted NFL players are about 25% more likely to sustain a head injury than Australian-rules footballers, who wear no body armor. An Australian researcher noted that “there may be a greater prevalence of head injuries in the American game because the players hit each other with forces up to 100% greater. ‘If they didn’t have helmets on, they wouldn’t do that,’ he says.”

Back to leather helmets. Try using those for missiles.

If his son weren’t dead, he sure would fit in with the thuggish world of black NFL.

If Obastard had a real son, he would be a string-bean skinny thing who would get blown away by the wind. Of course he wouldn’t play.

President Obama said that he believed NFL players “know what they’re doing” and understood the impact that concussions could have on their long-term health in an interview with The New Yorker published on Sunday, adding that he would not let his son play pro football.

Mr. President...your "son" isn't going to be playing anything, sir. Not now, not ever.
