This happened just after midnight Friday. Aqua Prieta is across the border from Douglas AZ. I had a link by a Mexican TV crew of a video of the gun battle and the aftermath. The video has mysteriously disappeared. . . . .

Did they use US supplied guns or their own? How do you tell the difference?
Or, in those profound words from that infamous philosopher, "What difference...etc"

30 years ago Aqua Prieta was a sleepy little town across the border that housed some of the best custom boot makers in the world. Real artists.

Not to mention Herra Dura Reposado [the good stuff] for six bucks a liter. And the Gadsden hotel in Douglas still had a fairly decent restaurant.

It isn’t to bad right now and it may get a lot better. The Gasden changed owners lately. They are updating the rooms and doing tons of work on it.

They used the best ordnance their drug money could buy...
The article in the Sierra Vista Herald (http://www.svherald.com/print/366152) quotes a news outlet in Mexico, saying
"Sonora state police told...us...that three of the dead men are from the neighboring state of Sinaloa and that the fourth victim has not been identified."
Sounds like warring drug cartels.

Yup. Spoke to someone from AP today. The cartel decided the guy they put over AP needed to go and he and his boys are fighting it out with the new guy. They expect it to last about a week. Supposedly trying to keep the regular folks out of it but they have been advised to be inside by sundown.
