Christie scandal means Hillary Rodham Clinton should never be president: James Varney
Nola.com ^ | James Varney

Posted on 01/20/2014 12:17:15 AM PST by Sharkfish

Now that the dust is beginning to settle, the biggest takeaway from what's swirled around New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is this: Hillary Rodham Clinton can never be president.

Or, more pointedly, no intelligent, reasonable person who thinks what happened in New Jersey disqualifies Christie for the White House can vote for Clinton for the same office.

Anyone declaring Christie out of bounds today who later claims careful or informed deliberation while pulling the Hillary lever in 2016 is a bald-faced liar. They are but naked, shameless, rabid partisans.

Plus, his point neglects the fact of double standards. What is absolutely intolerable in a republican is not only tolerated, but welcome in a democrat.

Democrat supporters think the government is there to give them stuff, and to the needy, for them. The criteria for getting stuf is wide and varied, but it is never to include the military. The other benefit dem pols provide is license. They make living an amoral life possible for constituents and the reverse, staying with the constitution and a moral life for the health of the country, that conservative pols represent, is horrible to them

Democrat supporters believe that gaining and staying in power is thee dem politician’s job and reason for being, and morals and a legal and moral authority are irrelevant. They are relativists

Relativism allows dem pols to go about doing anything they wish, and if its in the process of gaining power, it is a blessed activity

Benghazi was bad and it won’t go away. It transcends relativism. It affects put foreign policy. It affects the government’s relationship with the embassies and with the military

But covering it up is seen by supporters as admirable

Placing normal natural law based morals onto republicans is what dems do. And so do we, so a republican who messes up is done. A republican who can be portrayed as messing up is done

When republicans try to move in on dem territory they are done if they so much as spell a word wrong

When republicans try to win over dems by acting dem or liberal , dem supporters will always go after them, as the republican moves in to win overdone rates that the dem supporters that the dem pols want

Hillary will never be gone as a result of dem supporter outrage

Never

Republican supporters who are conservative are a mystery to liberals

Dems do not understand a moral life. They use morals to crush republicans who close down a bridge. Republican supporters join dem supporters in crushing amoral republican pols.

Dem supporters have no real use for morals in their lives and they don’t comprehend nor believe that anyone really lives a moral life. They don’t understand nor believe that people follow the constitution nor a religious authority. They saw Clinton emerging from church bible in hand and that’s what it’s for a photo op

When conservative pols value conservative supporters, ignore the 47%that mitt noticed, as in winnable, and run on morals and constitutional authority they stay out of trouble with the libs, being beyond reproach or able to recover in case they misspell a word

And libs will never get it. They’ll never get Reagan or even bush, who played to them, losing conservatives but never gaining libs

They will not get the popularity nor the theme of lone survivor. It is a foreign world to them that a story of virtues can be anything but boring, or, worse, guilt-inducing

But it is popular, just as the Greek tales of war still are

The conservative pol who seeks that sector for support will win them, but he has to be authentic or he’ll get crushed by both ( Romney, McCain, Christie)

But the dem supporters will never apply a moral standard to their pols. They’ll hate a conservative for eight years and never ease up but they will never give up on Hillary certainly not for moral reasons

You mean double standard is not allowed? Remember all the attack/criticism Palin got while allowing Obama a pass on same criticism by both DEM and GOP

Varney is being naive. If the press was all over Benghazi from the get-go, like they have been over the non-stop Christie nonsense the past several days....she’d have been dethroned long ago.

In addition, the Christie issue serves multiple purposes for the left. It gets the spotlight off the abysmal failures of the dems - 0vomitcare, Benghazi, etc. It keeps things like the knockout game out of the news. It weakens a potential rival to Hillary. (On this point I have no issue, since I do not believe Christie is a conservative by any definition. If he is the candidate, I will vote third party or write-in - better than not voting at all.)

The dems are masters at pointing the finger and keeping conservatives on defense. We need to stop playing defense and go full force on offense. We need to point out the faults of the left and never let up on the pressure and criticism. Stop “playing nice.”

(Cackle) New Campaign Ad for 2016 Hillary:
"IT'S 3:00 AM AND THE PHONE IS RINGING FROM BENGHAZI"

WATCH IT ON YOUTUBE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwaWz7jTcGk&feature=youtu.be

===============================================

Yoo, hoo, Hillary---Gehad's on call-waiting.

This is Gehad al Haddad, Muslim Brotherhood activist AND former Clinton employee.

Gehad is sitting in a nice comfy Egyptian jail as we type. Gehad al Haddad is a Muslim Brotherhood spox--and a former employee of Hillary and Bill's tax-exempt foundation.

Gehad was arrested by the Egyptian military for inciting violence AT THE SAME TIME he was a Clinton employee.

Gehad knows plenty abt Benghazi AND how the Muz/Bhood uses tax-exempts for money-laundering (to finance terror activities against Americans).

But how to tell Hillary?

ROTFL.

Note: "SMART POWER" is a post-Bush term coined by Hillary.

=====================================================

Behold what "Smart Power" hath wrought: Debacle after debacle---Obama's careening and incomprehensible handling of the Syrian crisis.....doing a Costa Concordia with US ntl security and foreign policy. Obama outed himself as naive, isolated....and outlandishly stupid. Not to forget then-Secy of State Hillary's part in the "Smart Power" debacle.

Democrats' 'Smart Power' Lies in Ruins; Suddenly
Realizing What They Miscalculated About the World:
National Review | Sept 3, 2013 | Jim Geraghty / FR Posted by kristinn

....... Democrats are suddenly realizing that their foreign policy brain-trust completely misjudged the world.

Being nicer to countries like Russia will not make them nicer to you. The United Nations is not an effective tool for resolving crises. Some foreign leaders are beyond persuasion and diplomacy. There is no “international community” ready to work together to solve problems, and there probably never will be.

You can pin this on Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Susan Rice, but most of all, the buck stops with the president. Those of us who scoffed a bit at a state senator ascending to the presidency within four years on a wave of media hype and adoration are not quite so shocked by this current mess.

We never bought into this notion that getting greater cooperation from our allies, and less hostility from our enemies, was just a matter of giving this crew the wheel and letting them practice, as Hillary Clinton arrogantly declared it, “smart power” (and fronted Time magazine cover).

(These people can’t even label a foreign policy approach without reminding us of how highly they think of themselves.)

They looked out at the world at the end of the Bush years, and didn’t see tough decisions, unsolvable problems, unstable institutions, restless populations, technology enabling the impulse to destabilize existing institutions, evil men hungry for more power, and difficult trade-offs.

No, our problems and challengers were just a matter of the previous hands running U.S. foreign policy not being smart enough. (Excerpt) Read more at nationalreview.com ...

===============================================

OH, BTW, AT THE SAME TIME Smartpowertics, O and HILL, staged military raids in Libya, they gained access to the National Bank of Libya. (No, no paper money there---just solid gold bars. Solid Gold. Not the Chinese tungsten filled bars that flooded the gold market).

=================================================================

LET'S STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANE In 2009, Obama made a "Smart Power" suck-up speech in Cairo----"apologizing" for America's historical role in the Middle East. By snubbing Mubarak, Obama set the stage for the Egyptian president's overthrow by the Islamic mob.

When the worst-case scenario happened, when Obama's personal choice---Islamist Muslim Brotherhood, Mohamed Morsi, was elected president----Obama sap-happily sent his secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, to Cairo to personally kiss-up to Morsi....perhaps at that time hatching their plans to destroy Westen civiliation in compliance w/ Muslim dictates.

Obama's treacherous ill-advised component of US foreign policy----sucking up to the very people who want to kill us and destroy our churches. He portrayed teeming Muslim majorities there as "victims of Western colonialism and Cold War policies," stupidly promoting American-style democracy for these conflicting cultures w/ thousands of years of religious and territorial factionalism.

OBOBO'S SUCKUP "The relationship between Islam and the West includes centuries of coexistence and cooperation, but also conflict and religious wars," Obama said in the June 2009 speech in Cairo. "More recently, tension has been fed by colonialism that denied rights and opportunities to many Muslims, and a Cold War in which Muslim-majority countries were too often treated as proxies, without regard to their own aspirations."

Fast forward to 2013: the savage Muslim Brotherhood torched some 63 Egyptian churches and many Christian businesses. Obama ignored the bloodbath and spent the crisis dining out, golfing, power-partying, and vacationing in exclusive Martha’s Vineyard on the taxpayers' dime.

HILLARY'S WARNING SHOT-- The recent 60 Min
Benghazi retraction reveals Hillary's evil hand. Hillary has a lot
of sway w/ 60 Min. CBS-TV better not queer the sap-happy
message she wants out there for 2016.

OBAMA HILLARY LOVE FEST ON 60 MINUTES---
Boobamba hustled Hillary onto TV to gaze in adoration, after
her arrogant dismissal of the Benghazi massacre before
Congress ("what difference does it make?").

=============================================

AIN'T KARMA A *ITCH, HILLARY? the US helicopter assault ship Kearsarge, WAS in the region, ready to airlift Benghazi personnel to safety. Americans were lied to----we were told Kearsarge was not available to help endangered Americans in Benghazi.

=====================================

MILITARY.COM reported during the Morsi crisis, that US Pentagon officials declined to give specifics on conversations between DOD's Chuck Hagel and Egyptian Gen al-Sisi....

Although the officials would not discuss the specifics of the military- to-military talks, the U.S. would need Gen al-Sisi's approval to move through Egyptian air space if Washington decided to send Marines to aid in the evacuation of U.S. personnel.

READY TO ROLL About 550 Marines and their tilt-rotor MV-22 Osprey aircraft are at bases in Spain and Italy on standby if they are needed. A Navy Amphibious Ready Group with 4,000 Marines and sailors aboard, led by the helicopter assault ship Kearsarge, was also in the region following completion of the Eager Lion training exercises in Jordan.

FIVE SECOND BENGHAZI QUIZ

(Q.) Who holds the key to unlocking the Benghazi secrets Obama and Hillary will not divulge?

(A.) That would be Egyptian Gen Al-Sisi who drove blood-thirsty Muslims out of Egyptian politics and has vowed to rebuild the 63 churches torched by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Right now, sitting in an Egyptian jail is a man al-Sisi arrested for inciting terrorism. That man is Gehad al Hadad....once employed by the tax-exempt Clinton Foundation.

THE CLINTONS IN-HOUSE MUSLIM TERRORIST
The Clintons tax-exempt foundation employed a Muslim Brotherhood activist.

This is Gehad al Haddad, Muslim Brotherhood activist AND former Clinton employee.
(The stupid Clintons did not know Gehad was Farsi for "jihad")

Gehad also knows how the Muslim Brotherhood launders money to finance terrorism, using "tax-exempt foundations."

As far as I know, Egypt does not have any limitations on obtaining information from terrorists---like prohibiting waterboarding, etc.

Rest assured---we will know everything---all in good time.

....do not put what we have in office for two terms. People like my MIL and FIL will be slobbering all over the voting machines if the Hilderbeasts runs for POTUS.

Our once great country is infested with brain dead people like them that will put her in office especially if the Pubbies run someone like Christie.

This will bring out a third party candidate.

I can only hope it is a very STRONG third party.

There was a hildebeast 666 thread yesterday and it was about an article in the compost. The people in the Washington compost comment threads were satanic and rabid partisans... they were delusional, projecting and blaming republicans for all of the republics failings... they praised obama for fixing the economy and claimed republicans distorted his law so as to make it appear that obama lied. They blamed Benghazi on republicans and stated that the entire ME would have exploded if obama had not invaded Libya. INSANITY AT BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is not a chance that America survives if this is anywhere near the majority of voters... no way.

To: what's up

I agree that many GOP governors are doing a good job. I’m not sure I agree that an attack on Christie is an attack on the rest of them.

I think one problem we have in politics and elsewhere is that too many things are seen as “all or nothing” and that criticism of a part is seen as criticism of the whole. I’ve been very supportive of a number of candidates who I believe have flaws and with whom I disagree about several point.

I will freely criticize a position I disagree with and that doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t support a candidate. By the same token, I will freely criticize Christie, but that doesn’t mean I don’t support other Republican governors.

I never was a fan of Christie even before the bridge scandal or before the 0vomit hug during the 2012 election/Sandy aftermath. I found it unsettling that even when I agreed with his position on an issue, he came across as a narcissistic bully. We already have that in the WH and we don’t need another one who is just a fraction of an inch to the right.

I haven’t followed the latest hoopla since it first broke, but my bet is that Christie was aware if not involved. If he’s clever, there will be no evidence connecting him to the lane closing. If he’s arrogant or careless, there might be.

I’m tired of politicians who skirt the law and get away with whatever they can because there is a loophole or “no legal controlling authority” or whatever else they use for an excuse. Wrong is wrong. I’m even more sick and tired of politicians who use their power to carry out petty and vindictive attacks on their personal enemies.
