The latest Opinium/Observer poll published on Sunday (19 January) suggested 52% of the British public aged over 18 would vote to leave the EU tomorrow, a small increase since last November when 50% said they would vote to leave.
Sundays poll, carried out by Comres for the Independent on Sunday newspaper, also suggests the anti-EU and anti-immigration policies of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) remain popular, even though Cameron has already deployed tougher rhetoric on both issues. [ ]
The poll came as UKIP was battling to restore party discipline after one of its local councillors in England caused it embarrassment by saying recent flooding across Britain was Gods punishment for parliament backing gay marriage.

It looks like Britain mirrors the U.S. Half want independence and half want dependence.
Half want to be robbed by foreigners and half want to be robbed by Brits.
eu is globalists on steroids. I feel sorry for the ones sucked in.
Which is why they have a parliament and not government by referendum. Can’t have the “peasants” making decisions and all that, can we?

The nation ought to return to God. Britain and the US are an embarrassment to moral Christianity.
They might want to ask Virginia how it went for them when they tried to leave the US.
The remaining 48% said, “hey, we just got here!”
I believe that was at least a month ago. I doubt it's an issue anymore.
Also, it's not clear at all if this is a 53-48 split. The 'pro EU' segment could be much less than 48% with many undecideds or don't cares. The article (purposely?) is not specific on that.
Because God promised He would never punish humans by flood again?
Not the same thing. I predict Britain will leave the EU.
The EU is just Hitler’s Germany.
