Scarborough To Rich Who Shield Money Abroad: 'You're Not Welcome in the USA: Leave!'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 01/21/2014 6:13:09 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Is Joe Scarborough taking tips from NY Governor Andrew Cuomo? Cuomo recently declared that conservatives who are pro-life, pro-Second Amendment and opposed to gay marriage "have no place in the state of New York."

On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough took things a step further, telling rich people who shield money abroad to reduce their taxes "you're not welcome in the United States of America." Thundered the self-righteous Scarborough: "Follow your damn money. Leave! Go!" Wonder if Scarborough's banishment order applies to corporations as well as individuals? If so, say sayanora to Apple, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard . . . not to mention MSNBC's previous owner, GE, from whom Scarborough took paychecks for years. All are among the 15 US corporations with the most money held offshore.

Thundered the self-righteous Scarborough

Typical liberal. Dismissive, indignant, intolerant and self-righteous. They all have a superiority complex and feel entitled to tell everyone else how to live.

I wonder if Scarborough thought that Lori Klausutis was taking advantage of too many tax loopholes.

Strange, Joe and I are in sort of an agreement.

Illegal aliens that get paid and send their money “home” to their family in other countries do need to leave.

The company that recently took over the Obamacare Web Site responsibility from the former contractor is named Accenture. Accenture is Chicago based (where else)and was foremerly name Arthur Andersen & Co. They changed the name after the Anderson name got embroiled in various Financial Scandals most notably Enron. The company may be based in Chicago, but it is incorporated in Ireland for Tax purposes and outsources most of its’ IT work to India.

Excellent post. University’s like Harvard, Yale, etc. and many liberal foundations have hundreds of billions. Why are they excused from sharing their wealth with the poor?

Any “US Person” (not only citizens but anyone who must file a US income tax return) must not only declare and pay taxes on any income no matter where it was earned, but must file an annual file an annual report to the Treasury list all non-US financial accounts, and thanks to FACTA, must provide a lot of details about those accounts.

The only people who are exempt are those with less than $100,000 in a non-US account.

Moreover, from the standpoint of the principles upon which this country was founded (as opposed to the “social justice” the left is attempting to strangle us with), by respecting the liberty and property rights of each citizen, the country was a superior place to put your money to work. But the current environment is no longer as appealing as elsewhere and fungible capital will go where it is most welcome.

When liberals attempt to increase domestic prosperity by destroying the ability of people to invest freely, they actually destroy our prosperity. Socialism only can work via coercion and socialism can never be as prosperous as liberty.

Sorry Joe, you have it all wrong.

The ‘rich’ will do fine and don’t care what windbag Scarborough has to say,

But down at our level a similar analogy is made for why the House should pass that Senate “Tax fairness’ bill that forces online businesses to collect sales taxes from customers resident in other states.

Here in Blue state Maryland buying products online is a way to protest Martin O Malley’s sales tax increase, and if the GOP in congress does his (Coumo and Jerry Brown’s too) bidding on this then they are no better than Dems.

A few years ago we spent a lot of money on a weekend in Times Square. I will never go there again.

Alabama Governor Extends Invitation To New York Conservatives
by Lonely Conservative • January 20, 2014 • 5 Comments

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo made news last week when he said that conservatives don’t belong in New York. Alabama Governor Dr. Robert Bentley responded by telling us to “come on down,” according to Yellowhammer News.

“In Alabama we strongly support and uphold our great U.S. Constitution on which our nation and our states were founded,” Bentley told Yellowhammer. “The Constitution serves to protect individual Freedoms. Among them are those guaranteed in the Second Amendment, which protects the right of the people to keep and bear Arms. We will protect the Freedoms of individuals and welcome any one or any company to Alabama to discover as so many have, that we are a pro-business state filled with good, hardworking people.”

Bentley also encouraged tourists thinking about their next travel destination to consider what Alabama has to offer.

“Alabama has so much for people to enjoy, from our warm sunny beaches to our beautiful lakes and rivers,” Bentley said. “We’re proud of the cultural diversity that makes our state so unique, and we welcome New Yorkers and anyone to experience for themselves what makes our state so great.”

Back in New York, it appears that a lot of New Yorkers were already leaving, even before Cuomo encouraged them to.

A migration study conducted by United Van Lines found that 61 percent of their New York clients in 2013 were moving to other states. That’s the third highest percentage in the country. (Read More)

My local PO0PO (Professional Official 0bama Propaganda Outlet) newspaper, the Albany (NY) Times Union is yet to note Cuomo’s BS and attempts at crayfishing the statement.
However, you will be happy to know that Christie’s problems are being covered in depth.
There have been two Knockout Assault Deaths (murders) in Syracuse and at least one in Rochester and the PO0PO has ignored them also. Suspects known.
The Amsterdam News and the Gay City News provide a more balanced coverage than does the Albany PO0PO, at least attacks are reported.

Thanks for posting this thread.

I try to keep up with what the enemy is doing, and today was a bonanza on PMSNBC’s “Socialist Joe’s Show.”

One of the parts of his show that tickled me was Micromush’s ex-head Bill Gates glaring dependence on “Education.”

Everything that Billy G. talked about concerned behavior control of a “poor” population by funding “Education.”

Without “Aid to Education,” the Left has no real power to shape the future voter’s values!

Another point I picked up on followed the Obamacrat Speech by multi-millionaire De Rosa from Connecticut on the evils of “Income Inequality.”

Although De Rosa read her Valerie Garret typed speech well, the part that I thought interesting was Joe’s comment afterward: “ - - - There should at least be a 30 % minimum income tax in America! - - - “

_______________

HEY! Socialist Joe! Yeah, YOU!

The problem is INCOME TAX INEQUALITY, not “Income Inequality!”

The problem is that 47 % of working age adults pay NO personal Federal Income Tax.
