Well, there is a German community in Kazakhstan. Stalin deported them from European Russia after World War II, when he got rid of the Baltic and Volga German communities.

All of these Central Asian Germans has immigrated back to Russia or further to Germany by now.
I uzbek it has to do with ethnic rivalry.
