What’s left me uncertain is this...
I have three undergrad degrees:
in mathematics (game theory),
in theology (trinitarian/Arian duology),
and history (modern European...on my way to a WWII specialty).
I was top of MY class all three times (a 4.00 in history).
Does this mean I was extra-smart
or my classmates extra-dumb?
My history degree was taken at an “elite” university (not where I currently teach.) And those kids were smart, let me tell you; they just couldn’t write at my level.
Was I smart (or mature) or was my competition dumb?
