They’ve been doing this for years. “Gun Safety” is a euphemism for confiscation or ownership prevention.
Along the same lines, any activist who claims to be for preventing gun “violence” is actually trying to prevent “ownership.”
Next time you read anything with the phrase “gun violence” in it, substitute “ownership” for “violence” and you will see the truth of what they are really all about.

We should immediately start calling Democrats “Money Safety Advocates”, using their same logic.

gun safety advocates? perhaps they should join the premier gun safety organization = the National Rifle Association just for credibility.
Don’t let them get away with this rhetorical shell game. “Gun control” didn’t sell so they’re putting different lipstick on that pig. But you can’t rebrand tyranny.
