(CNN) -- Allan Levene really -- really -- wants to serve in Congress.
So much so, that he plans to run in four states: Georgia. Minnesota. Michigan. Hawaii.
It's puzzling, but the Republican freely admits his strategy increases his odds of winning a House seat. As he sees it, all roads lead to Rome.
"No matter where you win a seat in Congress, you go to the same building. You do the same work," he said. "You can work for your constituents, which all have similar needs, but the key is you go to Washington and help solve the country's problems."
Legally, his strategy is possible. But it likely will be a logistical nightmare.
......
The Constitution lists only a few requirements for a House member: Be at least 25, a U.S. citizen for at least seven years and a resident of the state when elected.
But the Constitution says nothing about primaries or the nominating process, and that's the heart of Levene's strategy.
Leaving out a rule that would prevent multi-state campaigns was an understandable omission by the Founding Fathers, Levene said. How could they have envisioned such an approach?
"Back then they couldn't fly from state to state," he said....

You'd have a lot of visitors if you built a house at Four Corners Monument!
We were there last summer...it's in the middle of nowhere!
Owning property is not the same as being a resident.
Voter registration, Driver’s License, Property Tax declaration of homestead, etc. Those items show residency.
His opponents will easily show him as an outside carpet bagger interested in himself and not the area he represents.
He may have some weird ideas but he did his homework.
NY did for Hitlery.
Sounds like a stealth rat trying to fill 4 spots on the GOP ticket, ensuring 4 losses.
You've got to admit that it is a hell of a good racket for the "middle of nowhere."
Yup. And the monument would have to in the bedroom. Under the bed. A round bed. That rotates.
That may not be a half-bad idea as long as the Israelis get a long skinny territory on the north side of the Rio Grande. They are a hell of a lot better at controlling their borders than we are. We could even let them extend the security line all the way to the Pacific while we're at it.
He needs to do more homework. In my experience, people tend to dislike carpetbaggers even from within their own states.
Brian Rooney moved to Michigan’s 7th district the day before announcing his candidacy and was hounded mercilessly about it till the primary day when he lost. People were sending him county maps LOL
No doubt about it. Want border security, give the borderland to Israel.
Which is why he may have more luck in the Democrat races. They love carpetbaggers.
Hmmm. I sort of like that. The whole Mexican border is 1954 miles long, about half that in Texas. The area of Israel is 8000 sq. mi. So, if we gave them a 4-mile-wide strip along the whole border...
I’d up the ante to five miles just to get them to take it. They would have a Pacific and a Gulf of Mexico seaport and probably even build us an elevated interstate class highway the entire length as an added security measure.
“It is not possible to ADMIT to something that is a matter of opinion.”

You need to get hip to the new rules of language. In a time when supposedly intelligent people speak of things like “250 percent less” and “20,000 times smaller” as if I am supposed to know what in blazes they are trying to say they certainly should be able to admit to something that is a matter of opinion. Listen closely to some of our “leading statesmen”, you might listen for thirty minutes and not discern any actual meaning if you don’t throw up first. Even on FR some of the posts read as if they are not written in any known language as Christopher Hitchens once said of Michelle’s thesis.
What I especially love is when some nutcase liberal starts off with, “You’ve got to admit” and follows with something as absurd as the Sun rises in the West and sets in the South or Mississippi is much colder than Antarctica.
I’ll try to calm down now, I just don’t want you to fall into the trap of expecting things to actually make sense, I used to do that and it is very hazardous to your health.
