Verizon Wireless (VZ), in its first such disclosure, says U.S. officials requested data about subscribers some 322,000 times in 2013, along with another 1,000 to 1,999 requests in the form of "National Security Letters."

"Our report reflects the fact that telecom providers receive more government demands than companies in perhaps any other industry," Verizon General Counsel and Executive Vice President Randal Milch wrote in a Wednesday blog post.

The company says the 321,696 total requests it received from government and law enforcement officials were up from 2012, but it didn't say how many requests it received in 2012.

Yet amazingly, none of those requests caught the Boston Bombers.

That's right, Prole. It's us they don't like...the Muslims they pamper.

Now get back to work and pay for those golden government pensions. There are people on the beaches depending on you.

That's about 1,200 per workday. Think about the sheer logistics of it. How can that even happen?

That's 24 credible threats per state per day that presumably, some investigatory entity was able to research and present to a court to obtain a subpoena to view the records.

This sounds more like a political dragnet then a focused terrorist research activity, doesn’t it?

Locals seek and get the information most often for their favored local constituents. It’s about power, money and property.

Think about this carefully. They felt the need OVER 300,000 TIMES! to find out more about some communication or other, ostensibly for reasons of national security related to foreign elements either talking to or with persons, organizations - whatever, that could be related to terrorism (i.e., the reason for FISA and all that.)

OR, OR! They sifted through enough normal traffic to find out message/wrapper data they just didn’t like and wanted to know more about. Over 300,000 TIMES!

Who determined what they “didn’t like, suspected, or needed more information on?” Obama? Valerie Jarrett? Michelle Obama? Eric Holder?

What this shows you is that either we have a massive terror network here, or we have a government that is being used like the IRS was used to obstruct the Tea Party. Or they, the government, was solely intent on spying on citizens and begrudgingly followed the law and by rote issued over 300,000 requests like they were taking a pee each morning, a few thousand times an hour.

This system is going down. It will not be able to withstand any sort of serious scrutiny.

Bingo. My guess is everybody on this forum was somewhere in those 322,000 messages.

They did, however, identify several people who have donated to Tea Party candidates.
