Although the tea party's influence is "undeniable," it is not inevitable -- and it must be crushed for the good of the nation, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) argued in a long political speech on Thursday.

"They've won elections, stymied Democratic priorities and taken a sledgehammer to programs that are important to tens of millions of Americans," he complained.

WOW! Just WOW! Don't know where chucky gets his info (well, we do know) but even the gop-e denies the Tea Party has much sway. HUH? Either the Tea Party is bringing the country down(?) or they are a tiny blip on the screen. I'm kinda thinkin' chucky needs to be crushed. Ya gotta love the party of tolerance, love and equality.

Well, one thing’s for sure - they really don’t believe that the Tea party movement is fading.

They wouldn’t expend this much energy and government policy to destroy it if it were.

I'm sure the Democrats in the 1850s felt the same way about the Republicans. They could work with the Whigs, but what could they do to keep these radical Republicans from rocking the boat?

“sledgehammer to programs that are important to tens of millions of Americans,”

Really, name a single program the government has reduced and point to a single cost cutting to any program.

ANY resistance to the party’s will, MUST be crushed.
The only problem for them was before now, they didn’t
have leadership ruthless enough.

Why won't anyone speak up for the tens of millions of people who are forced to fund these programs at the point of a gun?

Lets see the greasy bastard defend that.

Some perspective: When was the last time you saw them getting their panties in a bunch over the libertarian party?

;-)

Typical liberal.

If they cannot win they want to change to rules so that they have a chance to win.

Liberals will do what ever it takes to win and will undoubtably stand in the way of efforts to reform the Electoral College.

Sounds as though Schmuckie Shoomer believes the Tea Party to be more powerful than his own party. Who knew we were so hazardous to his political health? ;-)

He gets his talking points from the Nazis handbook, we must have only one party. He is defiantly dangerous.

I’ve got a better Idea: We first help all actual conservative New Yorkers to move, then we set Dynamite at the boarder with Pennsylvania, etc. and blow it.

Canada can have this drivel that isn’t welcome to all Americans.
