The U.S. Dept. of Justice is questioning the spending of a non-profit group linked to U.S. Rep Chaka Fattah, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Called Safety Net, the group aims to get guns off the street by trading $100 grocery store gift cards for firearms surrendered. The Justice Department said in an audit that it questioned the validity of $346,394 that was paid to its director, who was once a long-time Fattah employee, the Inquirer said. In fact, the director "repeatedly gave himself raises without board approval" the Justice Department alleges.

It amazes me how many young people I have heard say “I want to go work for a non-profit”

What does “workign for a non-profit” mean? What does the ‘non-profit’ do?

El Rushbo once referred to him as “Chakah-Full-O-Nuts”.

His original name was Jonathan Livingston Davenport or something. His wife goes by Onward Universe or similar.
