Congress created the Section 501 tax exempt status and any organization that files for tax exempt status is entitled to due process of the law that includes the right of appeal to the courts judgment, not Schumer. One of the complaints made by the Tea Party organizations was that applications were not acted on by IRS and that prevented them from due process. A congressional investigation concluded that IRS had “targeted political groups applying for tax-exempt status for closer scrutiny based on their names or political themes.” So what was IRS motive? To shamefully violate their lawful responsibilities to influence the 2012 election of Senators and Representatives? Yet nothing has been done to hold those involved accountable. Obviously there is a dire need for a whole lot of new faces in the Senate and House to be elected in 2014 to represent Americans.

“In an address at the left-leaning Center for American Progress Action Fund, ...”

It is NOT ‘left-leaning,’ Ms.Peterson, it is hard-core left.

Schumer and the Democrats belong to that relic of Old World thinking which tolerated Feudal Lords, Kings, Pharaohs, Masters, and other such substitutes for Creator-endowed freedom and personal responsibility.

The enlightened men and women of 1776 and 1787 in America understood the centuries-long struggle for liberty and did something about it!

They declared the causes for their Declaration of Independence from government, and then set out to structure a form of self-government in 1787 which became a beacon of liberty for the entire world!

Now, little more than 225 years later, we have men whose study of history seems to have focused on counterfeit ideas of Marx and other such pretenders to knowledge, and they are leading America away from its foundations in ordered liberty and back into what may turn out to be another dark period in the history of liberty for individuals.

Washington, Jefferson, Adams and Madison, as well as their counterparts of the day, understood the simple idea that government requires coercive force by some imperfect humans over all the other fellow human beings in their society.

Schumer and his ilk may overlook that the great writings of the Founders, as well as the ideas of previous generations which provided the seedbed for the "miracle at Philadelphia"--the ideas "progressives" thought they had hidden, censored, and removed from textbooks and public discourse--those ideas are more available today than they were in 1776, thanks to technology.

Millions of Americans are rediscovering the ideas of liberty by using their computers for something besides visiting healthcare.gov, and what they are finding are weapons for the great battle of ideas before them.

Senator Schumer, the Taxed Enough Already movement will only grow as they hear constitutionally-illiterate politicians like yourself claim that government (coercive force) is preferable to individual liberty.

“We must stop playing defense and go on offense when it comes to the need for government. We must state loudly and repeatedly that we believe government is often a necessary force for good,” Mr. Schumer said.

No Mr. Schumer it is a necessary evil. The force for good, is not government, it is God. http://youtu.be/ZKL4M_FLhfA When you take God out of your Agenda, seven evil spirits rush in to take his place.

I’m left wondering wth this nonsense has to do with anything! I get that it’s directed at their brain dead base, they will eat this crap up...but my God, the world is coming apart at the seams and THIS is what chuckie worries about??

It’s all becoming too surreal, I find it increasing difficult to see how this all plays out.

Thank You
That’s the conclusion it was designed to bring without stating it.

Schumer is a vile, hateful man I can’t understand how he gets reelected.

He is a head Democratic hack in a one-party state, where the self-reinforcing cycle of democrat politician-government minion is strongest. At this point, the entire "progressive" agenda of NY State is propped up, ironically, by crony-capitalist Wall Street and what it brings in.

I am actually hoping for a good-long Wall-Street crash/bear. It will literally turn NY on its head - and NY needs to be turned on its head. Just like East Germany did.

I'm not so sure the left will eat it up. Sure, they love to hear their pols go after the TEA Party but selling "government is your savior" is another matter. Distrust and disgust with the government is high across the political spectrum.

Schmucky is trying to keep the people divided and going after each other so that we don't become more united on the idea of tarring and feathering him and his pol buddies. IMO that's wearing thinner all the time.

That was my point...the problem with socialism it not just it only works till you run out of other people money...the problem is the money is piss away foolishly because IT IS other people money..Any system to work must have a feed back loop else it runs wild and fails...capitalism foundation is this feed back loop..it called the invisible hand ..the system trying to self correct and repair it self like a living thing...socialism decouples this natural feedback loop in the system and the system runs wild it become cancer

” left-leaning Center for American Progress Action Fund,”

The liberals are very well organized and funded with privileged access to most of the commutation and information distribution infrastructure. Insolently they did say that, they just failed to sell it.

We have history, facts, and reason to prove our case that Government is the problem. They have nothing but vain Hope, empty promises and demonstratively ineffective or disastrous ‘change’ to prove the consequences of their Big government actions.

Its hard to argue with results so the only thing the left can do is try to cover them up. Something they have nearly enough power to do with so much fanatical support among the owners and distributors of information in the media.

They can spin a lie about anything but all theses lies can’t change the results of their actions. They have like FDR spent more money and in-acted more repressive regulations than any American Government in history. The result has been stagnate to non-esistant growth.

The truth is we could have expected much better from inaction. because simple reason of the mind and the experence of history has always shown that when men are free to act, they try to do so for their own betterment and in the process improve the world around them as a simple product of thier new service, goods, and ultimatly expendature.

This simple self-improvement act on the individual level is the foundation of any and all economies! But any time the State forces us to not act, or act in any way other than that which we deem most efferent, money is wasted and opportunity is lost.

So yes Taxes, and regulations do indeed hinder the growth of any economy. If they are sever enough they can even force that economy underground.

This has been known for centerys and even the most repressive communist Government’s in history could not change this fundamental fact.

There is no point to work without self-improvement, and there is no faster way to achieving that goal in work than a strait line, To put Regulatory road blocks on the road or load down the person walking with taxes will not make people more productive.

It is age old and that's because it works. But it breaks down when they overreach and 0bamaCare (and 0bama in general) have definitely overreached I think. Schmucky isn't bright enough to know when to back off.

Cuomo is such a psycho he actually thinks it's a good time to double down. A mistake IMO. We shall see in a few months.
