AB, you’d best enjoy this while you’ve got it. (Rock, all I’m doin’ is feeling a bit of pity.)

Got up this morning to 40 and windy, then it got cloudy and the outside temp has been dropping like a stone. Prediction is for light snow this afternoon, then warmer until the next storm starts on Thursday. That really means we can expect something between no snow at all and a foot or more today, then Hang On Nellie.

That gives y’all about three days, as I figure it.

INCOMING!!!

What a great experience for you! I liked Cong Hunter and, based on what I’ve heard the few times I’ve seen him on TV, his son is doing a good job.
I respect Ron Paul and have agreed with some of his domestic stands but didn’t always agree with him on his foreign policy statements. I think he’s a good man that loves his country and who raised a smart son who is also a good person.

Re: Pence. I’m not totally up on all of his record, but my general reaction to him was good—UNTIL I heard him on the radio weeping over “families being separated by our immigration policy” on the radio. That was way back during W’s attempt at amnesty.

For me that’s a killer because it will be absolutely turning the country over to the Democrats period. That did it for me with Ryan, Walker, the GOP leadershit and some others.

I should add that if he were to have changed his mind on that subject, I’m very ready to take another, closer look.

Is the hatred on Bob Scheiffer’s face obvious towards Cruz vs the Love towards Slimy Schumer? His digs over the shutdown were simply DNC talking points. He did not understand one answer and tried to paint him as a nutcase rather than looking at one point.

You are right,,,,,the Dems have gone bananas. They think bad mouthing and attacking the Pubbies is gonna win them votes. Truth is: when most people find that you are telling them lies over and over again....they tune you out completely. Watch how quickly Wendy, the Texas lie teller, girl takes a nose dive, etc.!!! Her fifteen minutes of fame are up!!! Bye...Wendy!!!

And......Rumor has it that Michelle’s guest at the SOTU address will be the Chairman of the Board of “Subway Subs”. He or she will be sitting next to Michelle munching on “her” veggies and Michelle will be woofing down the finest “Subway” pastrami sandwich with double meat...maybe triple meat, and, an extra large bag of of Dorito chips coupled with an extra large non-diet Coke!!! Not much talking between them.....Michelle is chowing too hard with feeding gusto to talk!!! As for, hubby...Barack....forget him...he is saying nothing of importance except for introducing Pajama Boy, Richard Simmons and the leadership group from GLAAD!!! Of course....not a word about Iran or Syria, etc.

Wow!!! What A SOTU party!!!! LOL!!!

Paul could have a battle of wits with David Gregory but it’s obvious that Gregory is out of ammunition.

Whatever...Scheiffer is so out of the loop....Cruz is formidable.

Below between the dashed lines part of an email I got from a fellow choir member....a fellow I think would be a great council person and who I-who knows nothing- am grooming to run.

He ain’t said no yet cause guys....an elected office isn’t for me. Why me when you already got Sarah Palin? Just need to get her on the ticket somewhere.

Peggy said you were happy to get the Cape Gazette article on the dog bill. I thought you might like it, and I’m glad you did.

Your note to me about Steve Smyk’s friend sitting in front of you, was his last name perhaps Dmiterchik or Vislusky?

As Peggy and I left Mass, who should we see but Steve Smyk himself, talking to a big-wig in the local art scene.

It would turn out that heh, so Smyk turns up at my church. He’s an ambitious fellow but last Monday, when I showed up at 7am-middle of the night-to meet my Rep Smyk, it was HE who asked me if I knew the guy with the Russian name, a Eucharist minister. I didn’t really know the guy but I knew of him. How could we not....guy looks like his picture should be under the word “cop” in the dictionary.

So here I am in the choir...on SUNDAY....and right in front of me is the guy Smyk had asked me about at the meeting. So, you know me, I leaned up and murmured in his ear if he knew Steve Smyk. He smiled and told me not to believe anything Smyk said about him.

After communion this guy comes back to the pew in front of me and whispers to me, gleefully, that he “just saw your buddy”. Well it had to be Smyk because that’s what I’d asked him about....heh.

So Smyk was at my church schmoozing with a rich art patron?

I got big plans for him....I’ll tell you what he told me, just to get a politico’s point of view....

.....Smyk is very ambitious. Very. He’s personable, writes well (we exchanged many messages on Facebook....I like when a politician can write legibly. He told me in Delaware it’s almost impossible for a Republican to ascend higher, the state House and Senate are over-run with Democrats. It’s only Sussex county that’s the strong spot and even though Sussex is the biggest, the best, the most cherished....there’s a swath of very wealthy Blue Blood GOP up north on the outskirts of Wilmington. Mike Castle territory.

He tries to explain how you almost have to support a Dem elected guy’s bill even to get some recognition.

anyway....anyway....lookit guys, I am going to learn about this, in most cases, insert wink here, whether it’s head of the local county GOP to my local Rep to my state Senator related to the guy who tried to take my fence to this one or that one....I am making the rounds, I got ear to ground....I am learning.

Another possible source could be the county lawyer and how dedicated am I you must ask?

Heh.

This guy knows a lot....I’m thinking of selling my body....

.....by the pound.

;)

Grate day here in Houston 66+

Spring outdoor soccer season just started and we won our first game.

Outdoor hockey on the pond was always a great deal of fun as well.

Just went out and took a walk in my woods. Saw a loggerhead shrike, a couple of bluebirds and a yellow-billed cuckoo. 66 degrees now. Spring is almost here!

In Lower Alabama.

Old Montana/North Dakota (aka NoDak) standards hold that it ain’t cold until the fuel oil won’t run through the pipe.

That’s 45-50 below, don’t even bother talking about that wind chill stuff.

I’ll advise the next time we get some of that...

And that’s why they’ll do anything and everything to try and destroy him. It’s clear that the talking points are that Cruz shut down the government - which is so ridiculous.

Attack, attack, attack Cruz & the Tea Party - that’s the plan of the commie left and the RINO’s.

I’m still waiting for conservatives to formulate talking points - grrrrr....

I hope Wendy (the disgusting) stays in the race - — I don’t think she’d win against Abbott in Texas anyway, but all the latest news about her lies and the remarks about Abbott from her staff should put those that were in the middle over to Abbott’s side. I’ve seen Abbott on FNC several times (especially during the Attny General’s suit on obammacare) - seems smart, was well-spoken and appeared to be conservative.

That is quite a SOTU party - LOL!

This morning I posted a comment about how many times Schieffer used the word shut-down.

Kaslin posted the CBS transcript this afternoon, so I did a count: Shieffer used it as a noun (shutdown) and verb (shut down) 8 times, excluding Cruz using the word in his responses.

Transcript: Bob Schieffer's interview with Texas Senator Ted Cruz

Conservatives do have talking pts, less gov’t, less gov’t and less gov’t. The problem is getting any air time. The only reason Cruz gets any time is so they can demonize him.

Watching the evening rerun of FNS: the Obama spokesman is as good a liar as the O himself. They are evil, and so hateful of the lives of ‘ordinary’ Americans. - That’s us, folks!

No candidate should expect conservatives to accept them with no vetting. Pence, like any candidate, should be vetted and his leadership evaluated before any of us support them. I just used Pence as an example of someone I liked a few years ago but he lacked the executive experience I believe is necessary to be an effective president.

If nothing else, 0bama proved that for once and for all. Hillary would be just as bad if not worse, IMO. 0bama has been bad enough, we don’t need a foul mouth slut in the White House.

Must see the two videos.
