White House Warns Obama Ready To 'Bypass' Congress On 2014 Agenda

The year since President Obama's 2013 state of the union address has been marked by record legislative inaction. White House officials are setting the scene for a confrontational state of the union address on Tuesday night, claiming that President Barack Obama is preparing to “bypass” Congress with executive action on divisive issues such as economic inequality.
However, in a flurry of last-minute appearances, advisers also hinted at a growing sense within the administration that the president's chances of securing more ambitious legislative reform before November's midterm elections may already have passed.
In an interview on Sunday and in an email to supporters on Saturday Dan Pfeiffer, Obama's senior adviser for strategy and communications, struck a defiant tone. “We need to show the American people that we can get something done; either through Congress or on our own,” Pfeiffer told CNN. “The president is not going to tell the American people he will wait for Congress.”

The GOP leadership are feckless. Utterly worthless. That the House GOP elected “The Weeper” Boehner as Speaker of the House is more than just an embarrassment, it is tantamount to surrender.
No wonder the GOP sucks.

It will, indeed. Some people think that 2016 is the make or break year; I think it is 2014. If we don’t start turning this disaster around, this country, as a constitutional republic, will be history.
Because if we don’t turn this around, this country will devolve into secession, or revolution, or civil war, or some combination of all three.

Not really, they could actually dare to speak out against it forcefully and consistently. they should have escalated the alarm on his unconstitutional behavior with his rewriting of Obamacare, let alone with his other transgressions.
But outrage over this blatant statement of intention in the State of the Union is the best place to start from here.
Just declairing he’s going to bypass Congress should be grounds for impeachment!
