White House Warns Obama Ready To 'Bypass' Congress On 2014 Agenda

The year since President Obama's 2013 state of the union address has been marked by record legislative inaction. White House officials are setting the scene for a confrontational state of the union address on Tuesday night, claiming that President Barack Obama is preparing to “bypass” Congress with executive action on divisive issues such as economic inequality.
However, in a flurry of last-minute appearances, advisers also hinted at a growing sense within the administration that the president's chances of securing more ambitious legislative reform before November's midterm elections may already have passed.
In an interview on Sunday and in an email to supporters on Saturday Dan Pfeiffer, Obama's senior adviser for strategy and communications, struck a defiant tone. “We need to show the American people that we can get something done; either through Congress or on our own,” Pfeiffer told CNN. “The president is not going to tell the American people he will wait for Congress.”

It’s like the broken pane window syndrome. His first trasngressions in unilaterally enforcing his version of the Dream Act when unpunished, so now we live in a neighborhood of broken panes, no one cares, the constitution is in shreds. Judges run amok striking down anti-gay and abortion laws, immigration laws are flouted and lawbreakers are rewarded, This is not the America you grew up in. We no longer live in a constitutional democracy. Last person out, turn off the lights.
Unless O wants a crisis confrontation he should not do this. We perceive that he says he wants to work with the Congress but only follows that with name-calling, accusations, and baiting criticism. Not exactly the way one "works with" the Congress. We understand now who is at fault. It only works once or twice....
The Pubs should fricking walk out if Ohole insults them by telling them he’s going to bypass them.

ABsolutely right. Sitting back and hoping that somebody else is going to do the job is foolish. It is up to you, it’s up to me. We must make our voices heard.

This week will be scary. Markets will dive tomorrow, and after Tuesday’s Constitution bonfire, Weds will probably be dire. The politicians will not be able to do anything when the money disappears. Nothing to steal.
