I am a little queasy about the Wehrmacht being on the march again.
Germans are craftsmen, not soldiers in their soul. The only militant tribe were Prussians run by Junker aristocracy who has suppressed the rest under their flags.
AFAIK Stalin has killed the entire Prussian population after WWII, buldozed the place and shared the lot between Poland and Russia.
Germans aren’t called Eurowennies for nothing ever since.

Well, Hitler was a narcissist populist politician, not a great military strategistin the first place. His biggest mistake was that he started to believe his own propaganda. He should have listened to Prussian generals instead.
Who probably would have talked him out of expanding the war after their conquered Poland.
I think France alone was enough to restore their pride damaged in Versailles.
Poland and Soviet Union made little sense militarily but attacking both was absolutely instrumental in terms of Hitler’s ‘Final solution’ and ‘Leibenstraum’ goals.
Hitler thought that after seeing how quickly Germany defeated Poland (with the help of the Soviet Union), that Britain and France would quickly sue for peace.

Even some of the generals told Hitler not to retake the Rhineland.
Everytime Hitler got away with it (Rhineland, Sudetenland, Austria, Czechoslovakia), the generals knew that opposing Hitler was pointless when it came time to execute “Fall Weiss”.
I’ll bet they wouldn’t be suiting up if we hadn’t stolen all the gold the entrusted to us.
We have eclipsed Russia as the world’s number one, non-muslim enemy.

Germany historically has done military things well, unfortunately that hasn’t been true of their politics.
