Why Is The Public Being Stonewalled On Serious ObamaCare Fixes?
Forbes ^ | January 26, 2014 | Scott W. Atlas, M.D.

...Obama and his supporters in Congress spent a great deal of time and energy justifying the urgency of passing health care reform. The purported basis for passing the Affordable Care Act into law was to increase access and affordability of health care, mainly by increasing the number of insured people.

After being heralded by his supporters and being firmly assigned the title as “the signature legislative achievement” of the Obama presidency,the law’s major provisions have finally begun. But in direct contrast to what one would rightfully expect from such a supposedly grand accomplishment,we see a strongly negative reaction from the American public.

The most recent polling from Gallup shows a startling increase in the percentage of Americans who now view health care as the nation’s most important problem,quadrupling from only 4 percent to 16 percent in just one year. On closer analysis, the most dramatic uptick is specifically among the very groups whose votes were critical in reelecting this president. Almost five times as many women now point to health care as the top US problem compared to only 12 months ago,roughly 50 percent more than the percentage of men who do so. Among age groups, the percentage of those voters under 35 specifying health care as the biggest problem facing the country has skyrocketed by more than six-fold from an almost unnoticeable two percent in January of 2013 to 13 percent now, an increase far steeper than any other age group. Even the president’s most ardent, most loyal supporters are rejecting ObamaCare,now that they have finally understood its impact. The future is here, and it doesn’t look pretty.....

.....Yet the Obama administration does not seem willing to entertain these changes. That fact is quite remarkable, given the persistent and increasing objections of the clear majority of the American citizenry to the law.....

From the Regime’s viewpoint, why amend it? It is working perfectly. It is a tool of tyranny. It is destroying the middle class. It is increasing dependency on government. It is destroying the health care industry and burning bridges so there is no way back. It is bringing down the US in the world and meeting out social justice. The litany of benefits is long. Dear Leader loves the ACA.

Needed so desperately that it had to be rushed through, short-circuiting the legislative process wherever possible (passed without being read, “deemed” to have passed, no attempt to include both sides etc), then it doesn’t go into effect until after the next Presidential election, and yet with all that time between passing it and it taking effect, it’s still a horrible mess that makes all the problems it was supposed to solve, even worse.

And the US still thinks letting Democrats/Liberals have anything to do with running the country why?

“And the US still thinks letting Democrats/Liberals have anything to do with running the country why?”

It is the appeal of the illusion of getting things for ‘free’. An ultra-libtard neighbor of mine was boasting the other day how he no longer watches the news because ‘the world gets along just fine’. Of course his idea of the news is the propaganda arm of the Obama regime. This SOB and his wife are classic examples of the lemmings who are actually proud to have voted for the messiah TWICE. What is worse, is that in order to justify, in their minds, their receiving of disability, EBT, etc, they not only encourage others to do the same, but help out with the paperwork for others to enroll in mutiple ‘entitlement’ programs (the cancer spreads). Watching/reading any news of the disastrous consequences of putting a socialist in office does not compute with their reality, so it is easier for them to bury their heads in the sand and continue to preach the party line.

The crucial high-paying millenials are not signing on---they've lost faith in "hope and change." Then again, this is a good life lesson for millenials----"politicians are the lowest form of human life and will say anything to get your votes---even lie to your faces."

==================================================

As far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature plan that was ultimately enacted (by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote) into the "Affordable Care Act :

OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if you’ve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All I’m going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. You’ll still have your choice of doctor.”

The Big Lie repeated over and over ---- with the promise that every American family would be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.

LOCK-STEPPING PARTY LOYALTY NOT SEEN SINCE 1940's ERA EUROPE Obama And The Dumbos marched in lockstep. The persistent Dumbocrat drumbeat ---- in obeisance to Obama ---- kept ringing reassuringly in our ears: "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan."

=================================

SIGNING "THE BIG EFFIN' DEAL"

"Those Democrats leering over my shoulder owe me bigtime. This
healthcare bill insures we have a permanent Democratic majority."

" All except those Tea Party types, swallowed hook, line and sinker my promises that they could:
(1) keep their existing health plans,
(2) keep their own doctors that they like,
(3) keep their 25-year-olds on the family health plan,
(4) never be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition,
(5) sign up instantly on my tech-savvy government Web site,
(6) buy insurance only after becoming seriously ill."
(7) save $2,500 in annual premiums in the bargain....
(8) All without any new taxes."

"Them sonovagun Tea Partiers will rue the day they criticized my wonderful bill."

================================================

"THE BIG EFFIN' DEAL" is now a Big Effin' Debacle---lock-stepping Dems are frantic. A 2014 election issue it is not.Lock-stepping Dems seem to have gotten the heebie jeebies over Obamacare.

Nanzi Pelosi Says Dems win in 2014 Focusing on The 3 R’s: Recruiting, Raising Cash, Raising Issues.....but Nancy plumb "forgot" to mention "Obamacare"--- the signature legislation of their president. Lock-stepping Dems said O/Care is a winning Democrat issue..... they were so s-u-r-e Americans would l-o-v-e Obama's wonderful healthcare plan.

ROTFL.

The buzz is Boobamba's SOTU won't be mentioning Obamacare.

WHO CAN BLAME HIM? Boobamba's prolly scared stiff of the applause from lock-stepping Dems clapping like maniacs, rising to their feet as one (like they had firecrackers under their a**es).

========================================================

Golly, I hope when she writes his SOTU speech, Valerie
omits references to Obamacare. Or-----disaster looms.

"And let me thank every Democrat, who---without exception
---voted for Obamacare---my historic signature legislation."

"Thank you Democrats for reminding every American in every district
that 'if they like their plan, they can keep their plan.' Nice work Democrats."

I have to say that if a neighbor of mine was like that and the time ever came where he needed my help, I’d tell him to call the white house.

As far as I know, all of my neighbors are like that. I don’t know because I don’t know them. So if they ever ask for my help and they’re liberal, they’d best keep their mouths shut about it.
