It’s not every day 33 couples of different types — same-sex, heterosexual, interracial — tie the knot at once on live TV. In fact, it was unprecedented…until the 56th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night. During their performance of “Same Love,” Grammy-award winning duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis were joined on stage by Queen Latifah, who officiated a mass wedding, followed by a surprise performance by Madonna, who sang her hit “Open Your Heart.” “I look forward to the day when presiding over a historic wedding ceremony like this is just the norm,” Latifah, 43, told reporters backstage after the epic event. “To me, it was special to all the couples we married today and I look forward to dashing off to go sign their marriage certificates. It’s awesome.” Planned in only two weeks, the triple threat explained how she could legally perform the ceremony. “I had to get sworn in as a commissioner for the state of California, so I’m not an ordained minister like I said, but I’m a commissioner,” she said. “So you can call me to commish – Queen Commish!” Unfortunately, the title of “Queen Commish” expired shortly after the Grammy performance. “If you come see me before 12 o’clock tonight, I got you,” Latifah responded, when asked if she could marry couples in the future. “If not, you’ll have to take the regular route.” As far as her own love life is concerned, Latifah said she prefers to keep that private. “Would I get married on national TV? Um, would I? Maybe…but probably not,” she admitted. “That would probably be something I would keep for me.”

Well, she might seem intelligent on some level, but, in today’s entertainment business, you have to be liberal. That means supporting homosexual marriage, global warming, abortion on demand, Obamacare, all the way down the list.

Yes, it is quite disappointing. Always thought she was pretty for a large woman too.
God didn’t say, “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” because He thought Moses wanted to hear it. He said it because He hates that lifestyle.
We may think, and the Sodomites surely think, they’re firmly in control of the issue. But God is not mocked, and hasn’t changed His mind.
Even if that 3300 year old book is wrong about some things (I’m not saying it is, I’m just making a point), it contains a great deal of human experience and wisdom. There are good, solid reasons, earthly reasons, why the Ten Commandments generally lead to healthy, happy lives irrespective of the spiritual aspect. That’s not to say the spiritual aspects are less or even equally important, but there are real world benefits from following Christian ethics. Not everyone can be a rich Hollyweird actor or musician with enough money to mitigate bad choices.
