Apple will have other products. Every successful product that Apple launched was met with nasty naysaying by critics, only to become successful and the naysayers copied Apple and rolled out their own versions. Bill Gates was especially nasty with his comments. The iPod was soon copied as a Zune. The iPad was called an oversized iTouch and was said to be doomed to failure, but MS later rolled out a Surface.
When Apple runs out of ideas, they'll clone a Steve Jobs who will rescue the company with a new trailblazing product.

I was being facetious.
People have been badmouthing Apple and predicting their imminent demise for a long time, but somehow...there were just so many “fools” and “idiots” out there who liked using their products, and...they never quite made it all the way down.
I have never spoken about someone using Microsoft products in that tone that I often see in these threads, even though I have felt that way about Microsoft and its products itself quite often.
And I always disliked the Apple commercials that suggested without saying so, that people were dupes for using Windows products.
As an IT professional, I use and work with a multitude of platforms. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.
A 2 year phone contract doesn’t help sell new models that come out every 6-9 months. But then, neither does a $600+ plus retail price.
I bought my husband a cheap Tablet for Christmas.He hated it at first but now can read and see pictures better.He has an ipod.Now we have to get rid of his old phone.I have an Iphone 4 my daughter gave me and I love it so I think we will go with that.
Personally, I have an issue with people saying a premium for something which has the same functions, and in some cases, even fewer. THAT is my criticism with Apple and always has been. I also never understood why (10+ years ago) people would spend $300 on an mp3 player when you could buy one which does the same thing for a third of the price.

Apple costs about $200 more and has fewer or lesser specs on nearly every level. Also look at the reviews from both the customers and the site. Again, no comparison.
Which itself much less powerful than other existing smartphones at the time...from which the iPhone itself was derived. The capabilities of the first iPhone weren't even close to the HTC Advantage, although Apple did manage to barely beat the rest of the industry out the door with capacitive touch screens.
The touch screen was decisive.
I had one of the 2007 devices. It was revolutionary. I had a a PC friend who was an apple reactionary. He said there was always a device better than apples. But he was changing devices every six months
My 2007 device still works. Apples devices have long been superior in public intuition. I can hand my device to anyone and they get it without explanation.

If you're having battery problems while under warranty, I'm pretty sure Apple will handle that under warranty.
Some people shop strictly based on specs, but not all. Apple makes mone multiple ways, which is why I questioned your over simplification of their biz model. The goal is to make significant profits, which they do well...
My comment pertained to the fact that Apple is an American company, while Samsung is not. Having said that, can you present facts as to the number of Samsung employees in America and the breakdown of contributions to either party. I don’t see why a Korean company would be contributing donations to an American political party. That’s where your argument falls flat. You would rather support foreign companies rather than American companies, solely because they are not involved in American political donations? I hate Democrats but I will stand with them in supporting American companies over foreign companies. Especially one that is hugely successful, that the rest of the world envies. Let’s support the home team.
I absolutely will support a foreign company that doesn’t donate to the Democrat party over a domestic one that does. When the domestic company is donating to people who want to screw me over, I don’t want to support them.
I can understand your policy of supporting a foreign company over a domestic one, while disagreeing with you over your reasoning. So you don’t support Microsoft, DreamWorks, RiteAid, CVS, CostCo, Comcast, MetLife and other companies that donate far more to Democrats than Republicans, and would rather favor foreign companies instead. I understand now.
