So he's going to allow all firm fixed price contracts to be renegotiated to let the contractors give their employees a raise? Of course not!!!

Fascist bastard.

Propaganda, how many Federal Contractors are making less than $10.10 right now? My guess next to know one. Will anyone have the guts to call the Dictator on this one?

So how many federal contractors actually make $7.25/hr? This sounds like a PR stunt with no real affect.

All he's done is publish a contract ... NOT raise the minimum wage !

This is a very pedestrian example of how words are used to manipulate and form thought patterns.

Think of the biblical example of a man needing workers and going into the market at 6AM, getting laborers to willingly work for a penny

After some time, he saw he needed more workers, ... hired 'em for a penny

LATER in the day, he needed more help ... hired them for a penny.

After the days' work, everyone lined up to get paid ... the last ones hired in the front of the line

They got their penny and the guys in the back, who'd worked all day figured in their own reasoning, that they'd get paid more because they had worked longer hours.

When it was their turn, they grumbled and complained because all they got was the penny

The master told them, It is what you agreed to, and I can do whatever I want with my money

So ...

People will see "minimum wage increased", when all it is is a published pay scale ... nothing more

I’ve worked for military contractors for decades. I don’t think any of them had minimum wage employees. (Maybe in maintenance, but they all outsourced that to minority owed firms because of contractual requirements.) However, it will raise the wage of all union workers because they have a clause that keeps them x% above the minimum wage.

This is how the unions will get increased revenue from membership dues. They need that money to wage the upcoming battles for the Senate and later, the Presidency. Without union money, the Democrats can’t manipulate the zero infobots into thinking they can better help the needy.

Aren’t there some union employees whose pay is a miptiple of some base wage? Might this be used as a tool to increase other wages?

The purpose of this action is to created huge discontent among all beginning employees who will want to know why the starting wage in the private sector is not $10 per hour. These are the first steps to creating a massive wave of discontent among the ignorant young, making them useful idiots in the upcoming revolution. None of this is not without a lot of thought. This nation is in very real danger.

I don’t agree with Obama at all. But...he said this would occur on NEW contracts.

It’s still a stupid idea.

This is definitely laying a foundation among the PRIVATE SECTOR beginning workers for massive protests regarding minimum wage in a deliberate effort to turn workers against the owners of the means of production. Revolution will be next. Workers will be screaming in protest wondering why THEY are not making over $10 per hour in the private sector as they ignorantly assume it applies to everyone in the work force. This president is following orders from behind the scenes to disrupt all of society.

This is another truth people who should know better do not realize. Barack Obama is NOT the problem. The extremely wealthy people behind the scenes going for totalitarian control ARE the problem and no one is pointing those people out.

Further proof (as if we need any more!) that Obama absolutely DOES NOT want to solve the economic woes he created ever since taking office.

Real pathetic that Plouffe still blame it on Bush this weekend.

Seems the Ontario progressives co-ordinate with the Chicago progressives.
How convienent
