“I am not understanding this problem.”

Neither did the judge....

““This case should have never happened,” State District Judge Medd said..... “We should never have been here if the cows would have just been returned.”

“In a short written statement, Brossart said he took responsibility for his actions and wished he had done things differently.

Asked by Medd why he didn’t simply turn over the six head of cattle to his neighbor, Brossart said, “Sometimes things don’t make sense.”

Also, Brossart was, apparently, convicted of a misdemeanor violation of the states “stray cattle law.”

“On two misdemeanor charges of preventing arrest and violating the state’s stray cattle law, Medd sentenced him to serve shorter sentences at the same time.”

We have cows, they get out occasionally, some one calls us and we go get them. Our neighbors cows get out occasionally, we call the neighbors and they come and get them.

We had a bull named Romeo, he never let a fence get in his way when he knew there was cow across the fence that he was interested in. So... he got the name Romeo.

That’s a strange way of saying “I wanted to keep them so I pulled a gun on a cop”.
