President Obama has “warmed up” to using executive authority, and when he believes “he has the authority” to “make progress” without action by Congress, he will do it, White House adviser John Podesta told NPR Tuesday morning. […]

“There’s a lot that he has the authority to do that’s vested in him under the laws of the United States and his constitutional powers, and I think that he’s looking forward to a year of action, and I think he’s looking forward to tonight (when he gives the State of the Union speech) as a breakthrough year where he can lay out some of these practical, concrete ideas that will get people on board a stable economic footing and see their wages going up for the first time in a long time,” said Podesta. …

Sounds like those “laws” are designed to shift legislative power towards the executive branch.

W signed a fair share of EO’s as well.

I don’t know if he signed anywhere near as many as BO has or not.

The Repubs will not speak out. We have already experienced blackouts due to closed coal plants here in SC. Obamas handiwork.

It means nationalizing 401K’s, IRA’s and SEP’s to backfill the over-promised and under-funded Medicare and Social Security with another source of private funds...to buy time while they “promise” funding for the next generation by a “guaranteed” retirement plan. All administered by the benevolent Feds.

Climate change action will be to stop fracking, drilling and increase carbon restrictions. Coal is also dead.

Obama wants us in a Mogidishu-Calcutta-Mexico City-like standard of living, with rationed healthcare and no economic growth.

He is a raving lunatic Marxist funded by the Global Marxist, Soros and his puppet, Podesta.

Someone should point out for each thing Obama promises to do by executive order, that he claims will “end suffering”, that apparently Obama has been letting that suffering go on for 5 years.

I mean, if he can use executive orders to fix it, he could have done that 5 years ago, so it is HIS fault that these people suffered for 5 years.

Worse, for 2 years he had democratic majorities in the house and senate, and for short periods of time he had a filibuster-proof majority, and for much of the time he had at least one republican senator willing to join him.

So the entire democratic party is to blame for whatever suffering has happened over the past 5 years that he now claims he can fix.

Of course, people always fall for this “passage of time” stuff. That’s how our Attorney General can vote YES for a ban on gay marriage, and then 7 years later win an AG election and say he won’t defend the law he voted for because it is unconstitutional, without being laughed at.

I mean, if it is unconstitutional, it was unconstitutional last decade when he voted for it. So, why did he vote for an unconstitutional measure? The constitution has not changed in the past 8 years, so how could something that was constitutional then be unconstitutional now?

Like Obama — how could using an executive order now be constitutional and legal but not so last year when he said he couldn’t do it because he had to follow the law?

Supposedly, because of republican “obstructionism”, even though he could get half of what he wanted through congress with republicans because they are not really conservative.

The reason Obama gets nothing done is because the democrats do not WANT to pass compromise legislation, they want to pretend the republicans won’t support anything so they can then argue that they have to break the laws to save people.

The sad thing is, nobody will stop him.

We will not recover from this.

True, but W’s EO’s were actual executive orders that were directed at the folks that were part of the federal executive branch. EO’s have always been used to direct operations for the executive branch.

Now they are orders directed at you and me! That is a world of difference....

If we have to pay for the EO, how does that not affect us?

There will be no jobs with the current federal agencies making new rules from the EPA to this Fed and this socialist clown in chief to you name it. Hell, Gibson guitar was shut down in Nashville over exotic wood that came from reputable channels. The unions cause business to spend more on labor then the traffic will bare. We have a nation of many high school drop outs and merely HS grads expecting to own houses from part time McDonald’s jobs. That dog will not hunt. Obama and his income inequality is called “ignorance creates wage disparity.” You drop out’s learn plumbing if you want to EARN money.

We need a 3rd party in this country ASAP

Agreed... only I would consider calling it a NEW party since the other TWO seem to be operating as ONE.

That’s what I said. But IF they get so far as to take it ALL, giving you an IOU, then you have nothing, Zero.

So, as I said, half is better than none.
