alk about campaign trail déjà vu.
As hundreds of bundled-up supporters gathered around him on a freezing January day, Rick Santorum towered over a lectern and rallied his troops. Aides pecking at smartphones lined the perimeter of the hotel conference room. An army of young children scurried across the floor. Volunteers collected email addresses and phone numbers at a fold-up table near the door.
The people, the candidate even the weather gave the event a presidential primary campaign feel. But this scene played out in the Capitol Hill Hyatt in Washington, not a Sheraton in West Des Moines and there wont be a presidential election for another two years.
Its at events like this gathering before the March for Life, which marked the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, that Santorum is conducting a presidential campaign in waiting. There were banners, aides, supporters, a stump speech a whole campaign-style apparatus organized by Patriot Voices, a conservative advocacy group the former Republican presidential hopeful founded after ceding the field to Mitt Romney in April 2012.

Hillary vrs. some Republican loser
Everyone panic!!!
Jeb comes to the rescue!!!
A third Bush becomes president.
The 1%’ers profit. No matter what.
Bet on it.
Good! We still have our bumper sticker on our car! We’d actually love to see the two of them (Bobby Jindal and Rick) run together, however unreasonable of a request that might be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JNsPCNAi60
Noooooooooooooo!
At least he’s not ignoring ths base like Romney.
Millions of regular Republican voters will stay home if they feel disconnected by a candidate. Candidates need to motivate voters.
From Wikipedia:
“Casey’s margin of victory [over Santorum in 2006, his last run in Pennsylvania] (nearly 18% of those who voted) was the largest ever for a Democratic Senate nominee in Pennsylvania, and the largest margin of victory for a Senate challenger in the 2006 elections.”
Casey’s main asset was having his father’s last name. He is not personally formidable. I can’t see how Santorum would fare well in a presidential race.
he had his chance. We need someone like Ted Cruz
Rick - DON’T.
He’ll get trounced, if he is planning its just so he can keep his name out there, not that he has any chance.
I tried to tell folks here there was a reason he lost his home state re-election as senator by one of if not the largest margins in US History.
He lost PA by that much because he DESERVED to lose PA by that much all his say one thing do another finally caught up with him.... He needs to just enjoy being a private citizen and do whatever he wants to do with that, because he’s just white noise politically.
Santorum was an ACTIVIST Senator, he never believed in small government or minimal government, he believed in an activist government, the only difference what what he believed the government should be activist for.
I believe government should be a referee, not a cheerleader for either side, Santorum needs to go away.
He was my senator and was utterly worthless.
1.. Big govt guy. Loved earmarks. Supported Arlen. Bad judgement.
2. Never accomplished anything to shrink or curb the growth of govt.
3. No experience at running anything.
4. He won’t carry PA. Not even close.
He does believe in the right to life...
Rick has already peaked and is in his downward spiral. Stay home, Rick.
Ugh!
New blood needed.
Anyone who is, or was, part of the problem, please go away.
Another act that WILL NOT get off the stage.
We have so many possible conservatives for 2016
Please name them......
But Jeb is the Republican loser.
I think the 1%’ers that control the selection of President (Article II, section 1 of the Constitution—voters have no say in the matter) see more profit in Jeb than the Hildabeast.
