Just replace the injected drugs with a hot shot of heroin. It's hard to call it cruel when so many kill themselves with it voluntarily.
Although I don't have a problem with hanging, electrocution or gassing.

The guillotine never failed, to my knowledge.

That’s how they took out Joe Hill! Another rat fink presented as a nice, soothing, little songwriter. (Well, unlike Joe, at least Seegar had talent.)

They could easily use laughing gas that dentists use now.
Just keep increasing the mixture until it is 100%.
They would just go to sleep.

What’s that old phrase, The more things change, the more they remain the same’.

Great idea. Go one further and offer the surviving family members the option of pulling the trigger(s).

Maybe use a bank of rifles connected to an XBox, then let Kinect figure out what to do.

This is what liberalism has gotten us.
Wiping the condemned man's arm with alcohol before inserting the needle,
and making sure that when he is put to death that it doesn't *hurt*.
You can re-use a rope and it's cheaper.

Electrocution is very green. They could use wind power and solar. Win, win.Or bring back the elephant.

You mentioned Joe Hill. Joan Baez sang a beautiful old gospel like song (acapella) years ago. Too mad it may have been inspired by some communist.

The death penalty is another attempt, like Obamacare but for different reasons, to do the wrong thing the right way. The reason they can't find the right way to execute prisoners is there really is no right way to do the wrong thing.

Get a rope.... It’s worked for centuries. In fact, bring back the guillotine and give the evil bastards their choice.
The death penalty is only used for the very worst of our murderers, most just do time and aren’t given capitol punishment but the ones who are absolutely deserve it.
They chose to kill so give them that one last choice... Rope or blade.
Also, have a law that one appeal is all they get and a 5 year maximum waiting period that no judge can over ride for ANY reason.
The murder rate would plummet.

Death Row should be 5 cells, and when one moves in, one moves out.
