Conservative radio host Mark Levin exploded with fury on Tuesday as he spoke of the constitutional crisis in the United States and the impotent GOP establishment, which he says wont put up a real fight. He also suggested a way for House Republicans to get back in the game and reassert its authority.
Mark Levin Explodes With Fury Over Impotent GOP Establishment Mark Levin. Photo Credit: MarkLevin.com I know its hard to believe weve come to this point, particularly when we have mainstream media commentators who act like this is no big deal in fact, think this is justified because Congress is obstructing the presidents agenda, Levin said of the federal governments overreach and related scandals.
Thats when the radio host lost his composure.
Congress has the power to obstruct the presidents agenda! Thats the whole point! Particularly a president like this, he screamed. Thats their job!
Levin went on to say that the U.S. doesnt hold an election every four years so the country can have a king.
And our Constitution is never up for election regardless! he said.
He then accused House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and other Republican leaders of surrendering the power of the purse, rendering the GOP impotent. However, theres still something House Republicans can do, he said.
Congress is a co-equal branch of the government, and the House of the Representatives is a co-equal branch of the United States Senate, Levin explained. The House of Representatives should pass a resolution. If the president of the United States can unconstitutionally assert powers he is not granted under the Constitution, and do so repeatedly and brazenly, and send his staff out to the mainstream media outlets to do the same thing then one body of our government must act.
Levin urged the House to pass a resolution that includes language similar to this:
Whereas the president of the United States has asserted executive powers not granted to him under the United States Constitution, the United States House of Representatives hereby asserts as an equal governing institution that all such acts by the president of the United States are null and void. The House of Representatives further asserts that no federal department, federal official or federal employee is authorized to appropriate any sum of taxpayer dollars in furtherance of any unconstitutional act by the president of the United States.
Thank you for the post and ping, Darlin’.
This is a very interesting thread, full of ideas, hope, despair, and fury.
It’s well worth reading.
I vote for reining in O’bozo by defunding his executive orders and forcing him to follow the letter of the Constitution as well.
Then impeach the bastid for the HIGH CRIMES he has already committed. Kick Holder to the curb and start arresting and
trying O’bozo’s surrogates who claim that he “knew nothing” about his own scandals. Ted Cruz and Trey Gowdy could do it.
Throw a few of them in prison, and the rest will cave like a burned-out shack.
Too extreme? I’d say the TREASON that has been going on in Washington is our extremely dangerous problem here. Don’t
you think that disarming and exterminating all the white people is itself a “little” extreme? That IS their plan, and they’re
quite open and honest about announcing it at their own rallies and meetings.
Oh well you know, brain is cold these days.
You’re a sweetie. Thanks for not calling me a grammar nazi.
hehe :D
