Now that he’s retiring, top Democrat lawmaker admits Obamacare won’t work

Now that he has announced his retirement from Congress, top ranked U.S. Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., has suddenly lost faith in Obamacare, saying he doesn’t think “we’re going to get enough young people signing up to make this bill work.”

Moran, who announced earlier this month that he will not seek reelection, criticized Obamacare in an interview with American University Radio, according to The Daily Caller.

“I’m afraid that the millennials, if you will, are less likely to sign up,” Moran said last week. “I think they feel more independent, I think they feel a little more invulnerable than prior generations. But I don’t think we’re going to get enough young people signing up to make this bill work as it was intended to financially.”

“And, frankly, there’s some legitimacy to their concern because the government spends about $7 for the elderly for every $1 it spends on the young,” he would add.

The 12-term Democrat who sits on the Appropriations Committee voted for the Affordable Care Act. And while he doesn’t believe enough young people will be participating, Moran had little advice to offer President Obama.

“I just don’t know how we’re going to do it frankly,” he said. “If we had a solution I’d be telling the president right now.”

A comment that brings to mind the image of rats jumping from a sinking ship.

They had to pass the ACA before they knew what's in it. Hey, just like a stool sample.

REPEAL it — and DON’T replace it.

That it won’t work will simply harden the resolve of the Washington class to make sure it is never, never repealed.

I concur. End it; don’t mend it.

I'm fearful for my children - and I didn't vote for Obamacare.

I didn't have to read it either. I knew from the get-go it was a debacle!

It will be “fixed” by simply making it another entitlement program that will cost hundreds of billions and destroy the quality of healthcare in this country.

What an anus hole! Now he wants to get credit for dissing what he whole heartedly foisted on the people.

Hell is approaching you Jim Moran, I hope you’re starting to feel the heat.

Well, let’s see. I’m a young person and I have all of $50 to my name, and THAT’S going to car insurance so I can legally drive to my job, which pays barely enough to feed me and pay for my gas money.

And even if I HAD the money to sign up for your sh*t plans, I’d rather blow it all on hookers and blow than on you. And I’m Christian, which should tell you exactly what I think of your plans.

Moran voted for, and presumably worked for Obamacare [sic], and now he's trying to weasel some distance.

Such a fungus is Mister Moran.

I suspect ObamaCare makes young, healthy people less likely to buy insurance. The only reason they ever did was in case something bad happened, so they wouldn’t get cut out by a pre-existing condition. Now in that unlikely event they just have to cover the first year out of pocket, and they’re good. Why pay more than necessary to cover just the initial costs?

Now you know why we call Jim Moran “Jim MORON”. He used to be a moderate Democrat when he was on the Alexandria, VA. city council. However, power got to his head and steered him Left.

Now that he’s retiring, I wonder if he is planning to beat up another wife.

Oh, he’ll likely join some anti-Israel, pro- PLO groups too.

“Power Corrupts. Democratic Power Corrupts Forever”.
