Immigration: The Dog that Didn’t Bark (Why no Obama shout-out to illegals at SOTU?)
National Review ^ | 1/29/14 | Mark Krikorian

In the short story “Silver Blaze” there’s the following exchange between Sherlock Holmes and a Scotland Yard detective:

Gregory : “Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?”

Holmes: “To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.”

Gregory: “The dog did nothing in the night-time.”

Holmes: “That was the curious incident.”

In other words, the guard dog didn’t bark because he was friendly with the culprit.

On immigration, Obama last night was the dog that didn’t bark. He said almost nothing on it; out of nearly 7,000 words, the immigration paragraph contained fewer than 200 and was devoid of substance: “fix our broken immigration system,” ”fulfill their dreams,” ”Let’s get it done. It’s time.” What’s more, Obama didn’t single out for recognition any of the illegal aliens invited by the White House and Democratic congressmen to attend.

Also interesting that Mark Strand is running the Amnesty session at the retreat.

Why isn't Paul Ryan or John Boehner or Eric Cantor or Becky Tallent or Darrell Issa or Kevin McCarthy or the rest of the GOP Amnesty Pimps running their own session?

Obama didn’t want to rile up the T.E.A. Party while he has the Republican leadership on their backs, peeing themselves over amnesty.

They don’t want their names attached to it?

They just can’t sell in the package it comes In and they can’t repackage it to look good enough and still please whoever it is they are working for

Could that be it? We never see polling on this in this mob rule world they’re foisting on us. It must be awful

Mark Strand is the President of the company that ORGANIZED THE RETREAT!

The GOP Leadership is using a Hospitality and Conference Organizer to run the Amnesty Session tomorrow!

Obama didn’t demand amnesty from GOP because he wants it passed.

I want to know the libs , and the GOPes, position on citizenship.

Low hanging fruit to debate against.

INTRODUCING THE REPUBLICAN PATH TO CITIZENSHIP--FOR ALL INTENTS AND PURPOSES----Meet the new Democrat voters.

Quoting Miguel Perez of Cal State-Northridge’s MEChA chapter: “The ultimate MECha ideology is the liberation of Aztlan (taking back the SW). Communism would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing (of Americans) would commence: Non-Chicanos (Americans) would have to be expelled — opposition groups (that's us) would be quashed because latinos have to keep power (over the gringos they loathe).”

Yep. The GOPe pundits all refer to Obama going small-bore and having given up on major achievements. Krauthammer says Obama must feel like a failure.

But he got Obamacare through in his first term, and he’s on path to have the GOP ram through amnesty here in his second term.

He’s merely not promoting amnesty hard so Republican constituents won’t be stirred to fight back as aggressively.

They’re all in it together.

Why no Obama shout-out to illegals at SOTU?

He's done it all already-----elevated the parasites to the USSC, cabinet positions, admin jobs, absolved them of all culpability for falsifying official documents, welfare fraud, EITC fraud, murders, border violations, arms trafficking, drug trafficking. He stopped deportations, gave em jobs taken away from Americans, free healthcare, education, financed every other whim w/ tax dollars.

Heck, Obama's done everything but fellate an illegal on the Capitol steps.
