Maybe it's time to do what India did

With the current movement of the Republican establishment to push for amnesty for the 11,000,000 or more illegal immigrants we have here in the U.S. it might be time to save as much of our country as we can before it is all taken away. If these illegals are allowed citizenship then the Democrats will have effectively eliminated the two party system and we will have full blown socialism headed towards a dictatorship which I believe has been the plan all along. Our freedoms will be taken away with the Bill of Rights being nullified by liberal judges who will slowly erase the great document our brilliant founding fathers created.

I don't want to give in to these traitors of the brilliant men of the 1700s who had the foresight to protect against people who would seek to tear our country apart. I want to fight but with the cultural changes we have had the past 15-20 years and the increasing ignorance of the people who are allowed to vote, all of what we fought for in the 1700s to 2000 might be gone forever.

I firmly believe the media is to blame for all of our troubles we have in our great country. Marshall McLuhan said "The medium is the message" and the liberals latched onto that like a pit bull. They now appear to control nearly 90% of all televised broadcasting which makes it extremely easy to manipulate weak minded people who vote with emotion instead of logic.

If we are to have anything left of our great country maybe it is time to reorganize much like India did when Pakistan and Bangladesh broke away. Let the liberals move to the northeastern region (Maine, VT, NH, NY, Conn, RI, Del, Penn, Vir, MD, MA, NJ. DC) and also the Pacific (WA, OR, CA, NV), let them move all together so they can have their "Utopia" that will be torn apart by their own selfish ways of life. Illinois and other states bordering the heartland can be cleansed of the filth that has infiltrated into "Fly-over" country. We will control the rest and both will have coastlines. We will control much of the farmland and we will have our own oil reserves. Conservatives that currently live in these mentioned states will want to hold onto their homes which is understandable but need to realize the "Home" you have now is not going to be there much longer if the liberals keep infringing on more of our freedoms every day.

Right now, liberals, with the help of RINOs, have no problem living off of the backs of conservatives and making laws that make life easier for them and harder for us. It's time to get rid of the leaches and send them on their way. It's time to save what we can before we lose it all.

I disagree.

It’s time to do what Lincoln did.

The problem is there’s too much value in the places you list. Most of the eastern seaboard is integral to the founding of the principles those libs despise so much. Do we really want to abandon Lexington and Concord, Bunker Hill, Independence Hall, and so many other pillars of history? And do you really want to throw away places like Yosemite, the Redwoods, and the PNW wholesale to the libs?

Meanwhile go in any store.

Walk down any aisle, pick up anything and look at the tag, is will more than likely say:

“Made in China”.

Made in a foreign country, making only the company which imported the item wealthy.

No Americans benefits. None.

Bring back American manufacturing.

The India solution might be the intention, but the Lincoln solution will be the effect.

The facts are that there are millions of conservatives on the left and east coasts (I’m in MA), and there are millions of marxists in flyover territory as well. In any election anywhere, the margin will be somewhere in the vicinity of 60 versus 40 (disclaimer: YMMV). In MA, the loser conservative always garners 40. I’d imagine it is similar in many republican areas with the lieberal getting the 40.

If we are to go the Lincoln solution route, I’m resigned to being behind enemy lines. I’ll do what I can to help...

I have Indian friends who tell me corrupt politicians want to import illegal Bangladeshis and allow them to vote, just like our Dems want to do with Mexican illegals.

To a man they are amazed that we do not require any sort of ID to vote. In the most backward parts of India they at least do the purple finger thing.

Right behind ya, C210N. I’m also in Mass., and I feel your pain.

Still, even here in The Deep Blue, Conservatives always pull a substantial percentage of major votes. The outcome is never 100-0. We are not alone.

I think we need another Lexington.

I think another Lexington is inevitable and the only thing which can prevent it at this point is the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Actually, things are better than in Lexington/Concord times. Today, elections here in MA almost always go 60-40. A few years ago, we had a MA Senate campaign where the R candidate did almost absolutely NOTHING, no ads, no fundraising, no letters, no staff. He got 40%.

Compare that with Lexington/Concord times. It is my understanding that only about 1/3 were Whig/patriots, 1/3 tories (aka, ‘Rats), and 1/3 don’t care (aka unenrolled, unengaged, do-not-care).

That means today we have 33% more of the population in the Conservative/Patriot camp (33% then, 40% now, for a 21% increase in support for the cause). Well, at least here in MA. Back then in the NYC area (Manhattan and Staten Island), it was mostly ‘Rats.

Been saying this all along. Time for the divorce. Kick them out. They never believed in the founders documents anyway so they should have no problem with it.

There might be a mass exit from one place to another, but thats the way it is. Might have to purge the blight from the free states though.

I understand your concerns. But we would have the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone. The Grand Tetons, et al. And historically, New Orleans, Mackinaw et al, saw as much as the rest of the country on the east coast.

The Mall in Washington DC is one of the most beautiful places in the country, but take a trip a few blocks off and see whats there.

The problem is, how do you "kick them out" in a way that is consistent with the founders documents? Kicking people out of the country because of their beliefs (however repulsive those beliefs may be) is, I think, wholly inconsistent with the language and intent of the fouding documents.

I wouldnt give them NV or Virginia-although Virgina might split and they’d get the cesspool around DC.

NV has to be retained..why? Because we can starve the lower Kalipornikators out of water and electricity.

Dam right it is. But when has the other side paid any attention to the founders documents? BTW, we split from the mother country no? Was that consistent with the founders intent? They intended on liberty..that was their intent.

I hope you do not think I was trying to be offensive. But my point is this. We succeeded from England. We had a government for a while before the constitution was ratified. We had several presidents before the constitution was ratified. The states formed this government, the states can reform it. Art 5 says that in effect.

Patrick Henry and George Mason predicted what is happening today. Especially Henry.

Now I am with you with reforming it, but can we? Is there time? No I dont think we can, and there is no more time left. Just wait till the latest debacle happens-immigration. I bet you might change your mind then. I hope so. Unless the states get the art 5 convention going, like yesterday, it is to late.

This whole thing needs not to be violent. All we would have to do is say, “Look, we cant get along with you, our differences are so wide and vast the best thing to do is split apart and go our separate ways.” “Good luck to you and best wishes. Leave us alone and we will leave you alone and we look forward to trading, etc, with you.”

No, of course not, no offense taken.

I see your point fully, and I agree with you in principal. But, levaing aside any Constitutional issues, I just don’t see a practical way to accomplish the “divorce.” There are too many liberals in conservative areas and too many conservatives in liberal areas - as others have noted, even in “deep red” or “deep blue” areas, vote margins tend to be somewhere around 60-40 each way. And, remember that (outside of places like FR), most people tend not be super politically-active - they may vote consistently conservative (or liberal), but they view themselves as “apolitical” or somesuch. Add all of that together, and I just don’t see the nonviolent split happening.

Also, however such a split happens, there would be very tricky question as to how to maintain the split going forward. To take just one example, what if someone growing up on the conservative side of the split grows up and develops liberal ideas? Would they be obligated to leave? How do you enforce that, and (more importantly), how do you enforce it in a way that is consistent with the freedom and liberty ideals that would be at the heart of this new Conservative America? All of this is very complicated stuff.
