I used to look down upon the Italians for putting up with such immorality and crime.
But, after seeing the slime that rules New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, and California (just to mention the top few septic tanks) , I’m ready to move to Italy.
Same kind of logic that was behind the failed gun-grabbing initiative in this country, looks like to me.
This isn’t your father’s Mafia.
It makes everybody feel better to pass a ‘protocol’, don’t you know?

Whomever did the shooting will be dumped off at a police station quite dead in order to take the heat off.
Their justice system is a mess. They allow this forever but will try Amanda Knox over and over until they get a conviction.

Yes; double jeopardy for Amanda Knox and mafia murders of non-children is just fine.
You’re OK with a country that allows double jeopardy in its “justice” system? There’s a reason we have such a clause in the Fifth Amendment.
Triple jeopardy. She was convicted once, acquitted once, and now on trial a third time.
For the corrupt Italian government to be shocked by the mafia is stupidly laughable.
