The President has unlimited powers to grant pardons, clemencies and amnesties. The Congress can only impeach him but can’t undo the acts.

Just pure racism on the part of our islamic black president. He does not represent Tax paying law abiding Americans. He is a direct party to and member of the islamic brotherhood and pushes their issues ahead of the concerns of Americans. Now he is going to let convicted criminals out of prison because they are black. These convicts have been arrested tried and convicted of drug crimes. They are guilty, period. But they are black so they deserve special treatment according to Holder and Obama. Pure racism in action.

After he lets these criminals out of prison how do you think they will live? They have two choices, either welfare or criminal activity. I predict that most of them will re-offend and be back in jail within 6 months. Some will murder innocent people, I'll put money on it. When that happens we need to hold Obama and Holder personally responsible.

How can we hold Holder responsible?

The Sheriff is a Thug!

Nobody should be in prison for what is essentially nothing more than a poor personal choice. I am tired of living on Prison Planet. If someone is a murderer or rapist they should be hung, violent offenders in prison, and petty offenders should be fined and offered counseling. Let the extra judges, lawyers, LEOs, and prison guards earn a living doing something productive.

I agree that’s a good step 1.

I cant envision many of the steps in the solution but I do know where to begin.

Viewed without an eye towards grace and Divine Providence, the problem takes on the appearance of an invincible monolith, which it is not.
We must remember that we aren’t fighting this battle empty handed.

I doubt that many of the released will have been convicted soley for drug offenses. I do not trust this punk not to release who he will willy nilly regardless of their offenses.

Hopefully there are those in a position to collect the names and offenses of the released and make them known.

Hopefully someone along the pipeline will be able to offer some information as to the actual criminal offenses released prisoners were convicted of.

“Giving exfelon’s the right to vote will be the next move.”

Most states already do that, with rather lenient requirements to the right. 36 states allow felons to vote who have served their time, 2 states allow incarcerated felons to vote and 12 states “may” restrict felons voting.

http://felonvoting.procon.org/view.resource.php?resourceID=286

Your state:

Arizona - Automatic voting restoration upon completion of sentence and payment of all fines for first-time, single felony offenders. Second time felony offenders may apply for restoration with their county after completion of their sentence.

Arizona - one of the 12 with some restrictions.

How can they do this? Many of them faced multiple charges to include violent crimes and they pled guilty to crack possession. This will jam the Federal courts up for a decade or more.

I understand many people don’t like drug laws or the war on drugs, but I worked an inner-city beat in public housing that was eaten up with crackheads and violent crack dealers. Yes, violent. Why are they violent? Because if they are not someone will rob them and take their crack. Every old person or dainty female dealing this drug has someone protecting them and everyone in the hood knows it.

It’s an ugly drug (just like meth) and most of them will deal again because crack dealers have a very high rate of re-offending. In fact, very few of them were first time offenders because they need prior conviction(s) for the 851 enhancement that exposes them to these sentences.

This is a travesty and is a further example of racial pandering by the DOJ. For the record, I do support the idea that our Judges should have discretion to waive the minimum mandatory sentences, but most of them enter Federal court (for dealing) having a pretty substantial record and such exceptions should be rare.

At least they will have more business opportunities considering all the cheap Mexican meth and heroin as well as the booming hillbilly heroin (pills) and high grade marijuana that was not as prevalent when they were locked up.

The Holder is going to issue Bulldozers to every state’s AG and they’ll just knock the doors down on every prison.

This should be seen as an opportunity for us citizens to further bring down crime rates as we have been doing for the past 20 years.

>>Nobody should be in prison for what is essentially nothing more than a poor personal choice.<<

What do you do when a poor personal choice causes a death, an addiction or other serious injury?
