NBC, MSNBC Sink To Bottom Of Who The Public Trusts

By Paul Bedard
JANUARY 30, 2014 AT 4:20 PM

NBC News and sister cable network MSNBC rank at the bottom of media outlets Americans trust most for news, with Fox News leading the way, according to a new poll from the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling.

In its fifth trust poll, 35 percent said they trusted Fox news more than any other outlet, followed by PBS at 14 percent, ABC at 11 percent, CNN at 10 percent, CBS at 9 percent, 6 percent for MSNBC and Comedy Central, and just 3 percent for NBC.

The pollster said Fox won because Republicans are devoted to it. “It leads the way because of its continuing near total support among Republicans as the place to go for news- 69 percent of Republicans say it's their most trusted source with nothing else polling above 7 percent,” said PPP.

They’re owned by a “progressive” cable company and ideology is way more important than profits.
Don’t expect much “change” for them.

A whopping 35% trust Fox? Gee, when the alternatives are PBS, MSNBC and (good grief) Comedy Central, go figure.

Good. I wish Newsbusters and MRC would stop whining about MSNBC’s latest outrage. Disregard these propagandists.

I think MSNBC is a loss leader for GE. Spout the leftist line at a loss, then get billions in gov’t contracts

It demonstates that ABC/CBS/NBC/MSNBC/PBS reflect, on screen, a “voice of the people” they in fact do not have. It is a voice they keep selling and projecting as “mainstream” but it is continually less and less so.

None of them are really conservative...though Fox News between 9AM and 2PM is by far the best news coverage on TV.

MSNBC is deplorable. Al Jazeera is more watchable and credible

Not to mention Rachel (Tokyo Rose) Maddow and Chris (The Twerp) Hayes. Both of them make me regurgitate. Someone HAS to be paying them.

If you believe all but Fox are leftist media outlets, then 65% of the viewers trust a leftist media outlet. I don’t take much comfort in that.

“PBS is in 2nd!? Wow!”

A lot of Democrats get their news from Sesame Street.

I put NBC on to watch the SOTU to see just how biased they are, and they exceeded expectations.
ABC with Stepen-on-up-olous and the drunk lady were actually tolerable by comparison.

It’s almost too bad that none of the other networks will recognize the obvious — that Fox is currently the only choice for anybody to the right of Nancy Pelosi.

They’re six slightly different varieties of the same basic flavor, and Fox wins big simply by being “something else”.
