I disagree with the inclusion of George W Bush in the context of the article. But agree with the rest of the description it contains.
Obastard won’t be happy until he turns the US into another t world country, just to be “fair”.
I would argue that Egypt is still an American ally but not an Obama ally.
Obama is but a fart in the wind and will pass.
It seems we have a lot to learn from the Egyptians these days.
I agree with much of what is stated but I also am apprehensive, too.
It is wrong that the Muslim Brotherhood was supported and I am glad that the Egyptian people were able to throw them off.
I see at the top where it seems to be suggesting overthrowing our government and at the bottom support for Carter.
I couldn’t live under the Egyptians new constitution, it isn’t my idea of freedom but it is what they wanted—so be it.
I want to restrain our government but I don’t wish to overthrow it and most probably end up with a new Constitution.
Good luck Egypt and I hope all goes well for you and that our government stays out of your business but no, I don’t want what you have.
a) Weakens AmericaI have yet to have anyone raise a single substantive counter example in several years of posting this.
b) Distances America's allies
c) Strengthens America's enemies
d) Serves Islam
e) Harms Israel
Or some combination of the above.
(Although AJFavish did point out that I missed "increases dependency on the government")
Back in the day, there was a radio contest entitled “ - - -, and I speak for America!”
People from all walks of life read their speeches and ended with the above quote.
It was a great patriotic, and very popular program.
Today, those in the US Congress who speak for America can be numbered on the fingers of one hand.
__________
The author of this thread’s article lists far more “America is not’s” than “America Is’s.”
She tangentially mentioned the essential topic of swift, punitive enforcement of Constitutional Checks and Balances when writing about belief in Principles.
She also failed to mention action by Americans.
Thus, the author has described America today:
* More negatives than positives;
* More hope for change than action;
* No one is held accountable for their actions or inactions;
* And waiting for someone else to do battle to enforce our Constitutional Checks and Balances.
IMHO, Obama has found the soft, vulnerable underbelly of the US Federal Government.
We ignore the obvious solution at our peril: Impeach Obama in 2014, - - - and I speak for America!
Who wrote this tripe, a 12-year-old?
This is one Egyptian I’d grant US citizenship to as she sees the truth about what has happened to our once great USA.
