SENATE CANDIDATE BOASTS IMPRESSIVE FUNDRAISING TOTAL
The nightmare scenario for liberal U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (RINO-S.C.) involves one of his primary challengers gaining fundraising traction and then convincing pro-free market groups to throw their millions in behind them.
Its the only way hes going to be defeated at this point
Graham has raised $7 million for his 2014 reelection bid (special interest whore that he is) with millions more likely to flow in GOP establishment money. However there is potentially as much as $5 million in anti-Graham money out there, waiting for the right anti-Graham to emerge.
And a credible challenger wouldnt have to match Graham dollar-for-dollar they just need enough to keep things competitive.
Will Charleston, S.C. businesswoman Nancy Mace be that candidate? The first female graduate of The Citadel military college is certainly positioning herself to be on the fundraising front.
The first few weeks of the New Year have been exciting! Mace wrote this week in an email to supporters. More than 5,000 individuals helped us raise about $385k in 2013 and today we are well over the $400,000 mark. Additionally, more than 6,000 patriots have joined our team on the path to victory, were opening our first campaign headquarters next month, and we took part in the first couple of debates of the cycle. I am thrilled at the positive feedback and energy from conservatives all over the Palmetto State!
If the numbers contained in Maces email match the ones she files with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) later this week, it will represent a very impressive fundraising haul for a first-time candidate one that could (if Mace can maintain momentum) possibly lure much bigger dollars off of the sidelines.

Theyre looking for someone with a foundation, someone with a trajectory, one national operative told FITS, referring to the various groups eager to oust Graham.
Maces numbers would also place pressure on the other announced challengers S.C. Sen. Lee Bright (R-Spartanburg), Upstate businessman Richard Cash and Orangeburg, S.C. attorney Bill Connor to keep up with her momentum.
Mace raised roughly $150,000 during the third quarter her first as a candidate. That easily outpaced Bright ($102,000) and Cash ($14,680). Cash has roughly $235,000 on hand but he spent more than he raised last quarter.
Connor? He was a late entry to the race and will file his first fundraising report this week.
I received that email (I had earlier made a small donation to Mace’s campaign) and felt encouraged. After my next payday, I’ll make another small donation to Mace and also one to Lee Bright’s campaign. As long as Little Lindsey Graham’s challengers refrain from taking shots at one another, a donation to ANY of his challengers helps in the effort to force him into a run-off. Graham KNOWS that if he is forced into a run-off, the conservatives will coalesce around the remaining conservative challenger and all conservative fund-raising and campaign efforts will be focused on supporting that challenger and defeating Graham. Graham WILL be defeated if he goes to a run-off—and he knows it!
On average successfull Senate candidates spend $10 million dollars. A primary against an incumbent can cost that much as well. McCain spent $23 million on his primary fight and won. (The winners usually out spend the losers.)
Would like more info on Mace...is she strong on Border Security and will she deport Illegal Aliens? Will she stand up for American values and National Security? Curious
Did you read the comments on the link? Either there are some pissed of Graham supporters or the Democrats are scared poop-less.
Either way, SC is going to be really interesting during the primary.

I hadn’t read the comments until I saw your post. Went back to read them and you are correct—they (Graham’s RINO supporters and/or Democrats) are clearly “all shook up” and appear to be shifting into panic mode. Thanks for the heads-up.
