Based on the statements from most House GOP leaders, it appears that the major fig leaf in the latest push for open borders will be legalization without citizenship. Lets put aside for a moment the fact that the Dream Act will directly or indirectly grant citizenship and bring in millions of illegal immigrants without any other amnesty legislation. The broad notion of a permanent or long-term legal status without citizenship is preposterous. Look no further than Obamas response to the GOPs principles on immigration:
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and GOP leaders on Thursday released a set of so called principles that included a path to legal status but not citizenship for the more than 10 million illegal immigrants currently in the United States. Immigration reform advocates expressed optimism about the move, and Obamas words Friday seem to further improve chances for a deal.
If the speaker proposes something that says, right away, folks arent being deported, families arent being separated, were able to attract top young students to provide the skills or start businesses here and then theres a regular process of citizenship, Im not sure how wide the divide ends up being, Obama said on CNNs New Day.
Obama echoed immigration reform groups that gave the GOPs so-called principles a vote of confidence. These groups in recent days have expressed more openness to something that stops shy of a path to citizenship.
Obama, Schumer, and the left-wing groups are looking at the same reality conservatives know to be true. They understand that immediate amnesty will be merely the first immutable down payment on their permanent Democrat majority. No degree of amnesty can ever be rescinded, but it can and will certainly grow. The minute amnesty passes, they will push for the next civil right citizenship.

Mark Levin is right. The Courts will never allow a two-tiered system to stand. They will sue and be granted full citizenship ex-post facto.
I wrote to my GOP elected officials in Nevada this.
Legalization is giving a bonus for illegals breaking the law.
And I am not fooled, legalization is step# 1 to to making them citizens.
No No No No way. Next step is they are legal lets make them citizens.
Right after the 2014 elections, Your reelected, your going to make illegals legal.
Where is mandatory E-Verify, and tell the Chamber of Commies that they cannot hire illegals until the border is secured.
Close the border first, then your doing your job.
Don’t close the border, I don’t vote for you.
All part of the globalist push to erase the borders, end national sovereignty, let international law reign over the constitution.
these people are the money washing for the corporations who want cheep labor. This is about depressing wages.

It would be an interesting exercise to argue for a mandatory minimum wage for resident non-citizens. $30/hour, say. I’m sure the humanitarian instincts of the COC would be aroused.
If illegals become “legal” the Dems will sue for them to receive identical status as permanent residents and will be voting in 6 (sometimes 3) years as citizens.
Your country is being stolen from you by Boehner and his coven of conspirators aligned with the subversive Democrat party.
Most of Congress will stand trial Nuremberg-style before this is over.
Obama is a NON-CITIZEN.
He has ZERO FORMS OF I.D.
Any Congressman who sees the evidence yet DOESN’T ACT is a collaborator, and will be prosecuted.
Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves and pay for the trip.
Obama has this delusion that the majority of illegal immigrants are in any way skilled, educated or able to start businesses. I doubt that 1% would meet any of that criteria.
