On Tuesday, Obama again called on Congress to get immigration reform done this year, right before the House GOP leadership is set to release its "immigration principles," which are expected to push for "legal status" for millions of illegal immigrants.
"While claiming to be concerned with job creation for American workers, our government is trying to ram through amnesty, which will result in a flood of foreign workers competing with Americans for the few jobs there are," Palin wrote in a Facebook response on Wednesday morning.
Palin also quoted Ronald Reagan's famous maxim that the nine most frightening words in the English language are, "Im from the government and Im here to help." She mocked all of the "help" that "a bloated bankrupt federal government has given us":

I guess I better go to "nice guy school," where nobody interferes with your cult of personality. Yes, you are in it, you just don't see it. Most members of the cult never see themselves as such.
We’ve got high unemployment among blacks AND Hispanics right NOW...
And the ‘solution’ to high unemployment among Hispanics citizens is to bring in 20 million MORE low skill Hispanics for them to compete with? It’s nuts.
It’s an evil like out of a Charles Dickens novel...
Oh, and you’re wrong about Sarah Palin... She’s worthy of our respect because her ideas are strong and decent. It has nothing to do with a cult of personality.
Well that would be an odd reason to get a post deleted. I have seen millions of posts here wondering why AZ puts up with McCain and keep electing him...now that people in AZ are standing up to him they are being smacked down by conservatives. I am confused.
That was me making the observation of “cult of personality.” Maybe you’re right about that. But something is seriously wrong here when someone gets a group trying to get someone else thrown off the forum for suggesting maybe there is one.
I’m going back to ignoring this thread. The only reason I’m posting on it right now is because some people took sport in continuing to kick me after I stopped posting before.
It’s because Saint Sarah inserted herself into the “McQueeg issue,” and with the “sisterhood,” one never criticizes her. Even a long time fan.
Guilty. Now, get off my lawn.
;^)
Ha!
I don’t hate you, but your opinion, unsolicited, is not wanted or valued.
You are intending to create conflict for not purpose but to do so. Go over to DU where your work would have more value.
Hi Tammy8
I left this thread and without your ping it’s not likely I would have returned.
My gosh, there’s a whole lot of deleted posts, thanks to the very unfortunate comments of one poster.
I have no idea why your comment was deleted.
God bless and keep you.
I am a long time fan of Palin’s as well.
When someone that is supposed to be on your side, elected by conservatives and instead doing all they can do destroy the country, helping everyone else that is trying to do just that- and you stand up to that person...only to see someone else that is supposed to be on your side run in and defend them...that is hard to take.
This country is upside down and it is not just the liberals that are making it that way.
Palin, McCain, and the Difference between Support and Agreement

Yesterday Governor Palin penned a post on her Facebook page expressing her support of Senator McCain in the face of censure by his own party in Arizona. In many ways, it echoed the op-ed she wrote for the Arizona Central when she endorsed Senator McCains re-election nearly four years ago. Governor Palins support of Senator McCain shows far more of her character than of his merit. As Governor Palin wrote last night:
We live in a time of diminishing virtues because of societal influence towards total self-centeredness. This is unfortunate and makes raising families, conducting business, and governing that much more challenging. I know how important the virtue of loyalty is because in politics its pretty much nonexistent. I stand on that most important virtue and answer those asking today: Yes, I am proud to have been asked to run with him in 2008, and he is my friend.
If loyalty is essentially nonexistent in politics as Governor Palin notes, how would anyone know what it looks like? One needs to look no further than Governor Palins own character and action over the years. Governor Palin has stood by Senator McCains side since 2008, in spite of his often tepid support for her and his nonexistent defense of her when she was more or less accused of murdering his Arizona constituents in Tucson three years ago. Governor Palins loyalty has been noted by many. For example, Governor Nikki Haley noted in her book about Governor Palins continued support in the midst of allegations during Haleys gubernatorial campaign that she had an affair:
When allegations from Folks first surfaced, Haley remembers having Palin in her corner after just one phone call a contrast to the way another supporter, Romney, had handled the news.
Sarah goes with her gut, and I love her for that, she writes. Mitts team [said] they were going to have a Nikki Haley meeting the next morning to decide what to do next.
Governor Palin again stood with Haley in May of 2012 when a South Carolina union leader beat a pinata with a picture of Governor Haleys face on it. This came even after Haleys silence when Governor Palin and the Tea Party was blamed for the Tucson shooting. Suffice it to say, Governor Palins loyalty is because of who she is (her character), not because of who the others are.
Support differs from complete agreement, however. Governor Palin has expressed disagreement with McCain either implicitly or explicitly multiple times. As she noted in her Facebook post, Governor Palin parts ways with Senator McCain on ANWR and immigration. She has parted ways with him implicitly too. Her "Let Allah sort it out" approach to Syria is 180 degrees different than Senator McCains neocon approach to Syria. In her vintage speech to a Tea Party rally in Iowa in September 2011, Governor Palin mocked Senator McCain, although not in name, for his reference to Tea Partiers as hobbits.
To be sure, Governor Palin has her share of disagreements with Senator McCain, just as some supporters may disagree with her for supporting Senator McCain in this manner. That is the beauty of independence of thoughtdifference of opinion does negate support. As Governor Palins brother Chuck Heath Jr. noted on his Facebook page today:
If I turned my back on every friend and family member who didnt agree with me 100% of the time, Id have no friends or family members.
It cant be said much better than that. We dont have to always agree, but we all can learn a lesson in loyalty from the one political figure who personifies it.
It’s a good argument. I will get over my pique.
LOL. Meanwhile, I will remember those who told me to go to DU.

Sarah's been attacked so often - and unfairly - by the left that you've got to understand some of us jump to her defense at the smallest slight. You've been a freeper forever Cyber - and understand how these things go down. Conservatives celebrate diversity of opinion within our ranks and yeah, that includes your opinion... but sometimes we pile on... happens.
When the fight with leftists start we're all on the same side against them... you're part of our freeper family and you know it. It's all good.
Thanks onyx.
Thank you, SunkenCiv!
