Dubai, HK, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Beirut . .even as nannies in Europe, Filipinas (many single moms) working overseas to support their kids/families. They work for all kinds of families, those with kids or not, natives, ex pats from USA or Europe or elsewhere. The “Domestic Helpers” are trained beforehand in Philippines, if an Indian family will be the employer, they learn Indian cooking. Quite frankly, many of them would probably make pretty good little traditional wives. They speak and write English and love American culture.
While many take offshore jobs, mainly seamen, I do not know of girls doing it. My wife does not know ANY.
This may be somewhat regional, such as from very crowded Manila, but not so popular with girls in the provinces.
The girls here are very much into pulling in men from Europe and America to live here. The idea of a very Catholic girl going off to some Muzie torture is a bit hard to swallow.
