trainer: ayyyy he never touched you

Bet you can still place a wager on him.
I’m kinda wondering why the 23 yr old was gunned down.
they used to this all the time in late 19th/early 20th century. google carte de visite sometime. quite interesting practice in an era of little transportation, whiz-bang photography and long distances between family and friends.
With a 5-15 record the more proper way to “memorialize” his career would have been to leave him in a lying state on the mat.
I suppose they had no pictures of him actually fighting to use to memorialize his career? And with a 5 and 15 record, no wonder he wanted a made-up exit. The writer then goes to describe him being in a hoodie, oblivious to the fact that it is a part of a boxing robe and not just a hoodie.
He lived in the projects so one naturally goes to the question of what was he doing when he was shot? At no place in the article does it mention this or even hint at it.
What a bunch of self absorbed fools, but worse was why in the world would someone want to make it their dying wish to subject his family with this? If his “career” was their only way out of the projects it goes far more as an indictment on their acceptance of their way of life.
I read the headline, and thought this was a cute story about a beloved family pet..
William Muny
“I can’t see, cut me Mick, cut me!”
Great idea...I’m thinking either a Heisman pose or a Starwars theme for mine. Time to go change my Will.
next they will prop him up in a voting booth to vote Democrat.
“...and in this coroner weighing...”
I understand that Jeremy Bentham is STILL wheeled into Council meetings, present, but not voting.
His son appears to be at least 9 or 10. And he’s 23????
Saw a guy buried on his Harley Davidson on last night’s news. Older gent, sitting upright in biker attire. Guess he plans on becoming the new “Ghost Rider”. Expect he’ll shock some future race when they discover his remains.
But whom am I to judge...remember all cultures are equal...
The mortician did an excellent job. It probably doesn’t hurt that the deceased was in the absolute prime of life when he was cut down.
And in the the other corner, his opponent could be heard telling his manager: “I should be getting a shot at the the title instead of fighting this stiff!”
“Are you readddddyyyy to crumble?”
