Bill Whitaker: Wendy Davis imbroglio isn’t going to solve our state’s problems (she's got grit)
Waco Trib ^ | 2/01/14 | Bill Whitaker

**SNIP**

One conclusion from the peanut gallery: Anyone trying to dissect marriages gone bad, decent people going off in different directions and the vicious spin applied to even basic marital facts is going to find many accounts don’t neatly add up. It would take a book the size of “War and Peace” to do justice to all parties in some failed marriages. That seems possibly the case with Sen. Davis’ early life, impressive as it is.

For instance, debate has ensued about whether she was really a single teenage mom or not. Some accounts suggest she got divorced from her first husband at age 19, though the Morning News says this divorce didn’t actually happen till she was 21. The campaign acknowledges this but points out she and her first husband nonetheless separated when she was 19, that she filed for a divorce at 20 and that she finally got her divorce at 21.

So is she a teenage mom or not? Could well depend on your definition of “teenage” and “separation” — or it could just depend on your political bias.

The rest of us are left to reflect on different people in this saga parsing words and spinning interpretations on different points of Davis’ personal life.

Bill, ya blew it by not getting the scoop. How about investigating to see if it was fraud or not.

Yep. Find the marriage and divorce records for thevcorrect dates then interview the ex-husband for the “good” stuff. Case closed.

There is a difference between honestly marrying a man because of love and marrying him because you are a gold-digging b!tch. Her forte seems to be the latter.

“Greg Abbott and his folks have picked a fight with the wrong Texas gal.”

Right, "he hasn't walked a mile" in your shoes, has he Wendy?

Who on earth is advising this woman—and obviously contributing money to her campaign?

Surely there aren’t enough people that dumb living and voting here to put her into office……..At least, I hope not.

I wonder if Bill was as incensed about Obama’s Kronies having the divorce custody records of Jack Ryan’s unsealed against both he and his ex-wife’s wishes?

Look to George Soros connected groups. They are in a very expensive campaign to flip Texas.

Bill must have a thing for lying Liberal skunks.

Funny that no one published that her bio was littered with obvious lies when she was prancing around in those pink shoes. The Houston Chronicle can’t find a thing wrong with any Democrat who loves abortion. What a waste of trees.

Well, I’ve been worrying about that happening for several years now-—just didn’t think about Soros or someone like him helping the cause.

Of course, amnesty will turn the whole country blue……...

And Texas is the largest border state.

Texas is pivotal in the fight to turn the whole country blue.

If this weasel whore gets elected governor, expect the Texas border to be wide open and for illegals to vote without obstruction.

Read Ted Cruz’s Wiki bio and then Wendy Davis’ bio. It is to laugh.

If you run for office presenting your personal story as the most compelling reason for being elected, expect to have your personal story challenged, especially if you felt the need to exaggerate aspects of it.

Obama was unique in that he didn’t emphasize his public story, he emphasized a vague idea “hope” that could mean anything to anyone. Now that it’s been done and the general public is slowly realizing that their hopes weren’t realized, it will be very hard to replicate.

By the Waco article, it appears that it would have us sweep the Davis “inconsistencies” under the rug, and focus on the real problems facing the state. To that I say this: “Hey, she’s the one who brought them up.” And, to call therm “inconsistencies” is like describing Ted Bundy as being “unkind.” I say that Davis’ morally bankrupt attitude and history are examples of the problems we face today with people in power making decisions for us that have her same morally bankrupt mindset. Like him or not, George Bush senior said it best when he said that “Character matters.” The last five years of shenanigans in the white house certainly proved him right. And, by the way, Ted Bundy had “grit” too.

Exactly. We've seen this with Bill Clinton and all the other dems who get caught in lies and unethical behavior. As though the "elected official" Wendy Davis would be honest and ethical in her dealings, even though "private citizen" Wendy Davis is not.

I think that the Wendy Davis Campaign and Battleground Texas need to bring Michelle Obama, Hillery Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer and Elizabeth Warren to Texas to campaign for her.

:-)
