The Club for Growth brushed aside the Republican campaign committees Friday, hiring a firm that the official party organs have blacklisted.
Jamestown Associates was blacklisted by the National Republican Senatorial Committee last year for their work for Senate Conservatives Fund, an outside conservative group who has endorsed candidates mounting primary challenges to incumbents the party is supporting all incumbents this cycle.
Were not going to do business with people who profit off of attacking Republicans, Brad Dayspring, the NRSC communications director, told The New York Times. Purity for profit is a disease that threatens the Republican Party.
The National Republican Congressional Committee followed suit, National Journal reported this month, announcing that they, too, would not give the company any business this cycle.
The Club for Growth put out a statement Friday that appeared specifically designed to razz the committees for blacklisting the group.
Weve long admired Jamestown Associates for their creativity, winning record in tough campaigns, and the quality of their product, said Club for Growth President Chris Chocola in a statement Friday. When we heard recently that they would have more time to work with Club for Growth Action we immediately seized the opportunity. We look forward to the opportunity to utilize their services on races like Chris McDaniels in Mississippi and Ben Sasses in Nebraska.
Chris McDaniel is challenging incumbent Republican Sen. Thad Cochran, whom the NRSC is backing. Both the Club for Growth and the Senate Conservatives Fund have endorsed him.
The move highlights the split between the party committees and outside groups, like the Club and SCF, who have been very much at odds this cycle. One particular flashpoint has been the Kentucky Senate race, where SCF is backing Matt Bevin, a businessman who is primarying Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Jamestown Associates supplied me with lots of good info on Russian events for many years when I was working on projects in that neck of the woods. Lot of military and intel guys hooked into that network. No wonder they lean towards consevative views. Their sources are in the trenches and acually work for a living.
Glad to see the CFG poke their finger in the eye of the GOP establishment committees who declared war on conservatives.
Club for Growth is a front for international traders.
Their big ideas include tax breaks for repatriation of foreign profits (??? companies that sent jobs overseas now want to avoid US income tax) and amnesty for illegals, supplying dirt cheap labor for international traders.
Repub party and groups like this are simply playing mental games on conservatives.
I too have worked with them in past cycles. They are patriots. Which is why the French Republicans despise them.
The Club for Growth has balls. The RNSC has none.
See: There is a difference.
Go Jamestown Associates. Kick ass and win elections.
For a current source...
But its not really necessary to be current; CFG has been free trade with afterburners since its inception. They’re just going a little quiet on immigration reform because rank-and-file conservatives are currently vomiting out the idea.
This kind of stance is what globalism wants; it amounts to getting national governments “out of the way” of elite financiers.
Thank you very much for this. It clearly infers that the Heritage Foundation needs to be watched closely as it may be implementing a subtle shift in policy. We already knew Boner was pro-immigration.
