The Mystery of Missing Congressman Stockman Keeps Getting Weirder
The Wire ^ | Jan 23, 2014 6:13PM ET | Philip Bump

Rep. Steve Stockman of Texas is missing. He hasn't been seen in public since January 14. Reports that he traveled to Egypt couldn't be confirmed by another congressman on the trip — or by Stockman's own office, where the person who answered the phone simply said, "That's the first that I've heard of that."

“Rep. Steve Stockman told Breitbart News he traveled to Russia, Egypt, Israel and England as part of an official congressional delegation and ripped the media for what he described as a made-up story about his absence from Congress and his Texas district.”

http://joemiller.us/2014/01/missing-congressman-steve-stockman-says-traveled-russia/#cZIKBDABdMVUYYZh.99

-This may be your point.-

“Stockman said the purpose of the trip was to discuss issues relating to terrorism with foreign governments and said the group of lawmakers met with the President of Egypt and a top-ranking general in Israel.”

“Though the group of five House members had been scheduled to meet with Vladimir Putin, the Russian President canceled because of meetings in Davos, Stockman said.?”

I had not seen anything about this trip by any US MSM news sources. Which is not uncommon.

Thanks for that link.

I am not surprised at Cornyn, he knows he is in deep trouble.

His own doing.

Stockman’s fact-finding tour is appropriate for House Members interested in getting better info than a WhiteyHut slant.

My concern is that Stockman either is not really interested in the Senate or has some large unrealistic expectations on grassroots propelling him without a serious campaign.

Cornyn ain’t DoWorst, whomever is writing his radio ads is real good. It is not going to be easy to kick him out.

Maybe Stockman is working with the theory that with a herd running in the Primary against Cornyn, its a given there will be a runoff and THEN Stockman will get serious on the campaign.

I prescribe to the old axiom that if you want something you need to work toward it. Good rarely just falls on you like manna from Heaven.

It's going to take Stockman and all the others running to keep Cornyn from getting 50%. I want them all there. I want Cornyn to face a run-off. I want him to lose.

I would rather vote for Stovall, but after the Primary we will have to see how the electibility issue plays out.

Stockman has some legit baggage or enough pretence of baggage for the press to slam him. Stovall is not well know, but it a very good candidate on the basis of his integrity.

Cornyn’s ads are pure nonsense to people who know is record.

He is saying all the right thing, but he is none of what he says he is. FACT.

This really should be a separate thread.

Yes, I think I saw that. Was wondering if the folks in the banking community know something we don’t.

High Crimes that are seldom prosecuted, seem to come from a limited number of occupations. I am content to be away from most of those jobs.

As far as electability, that is in every way a non issue.
Because Cornyn is more damaging in the Senate than a Democrat could be so if he hangs on to the nomination many people will vote for a write in or third party candidate.

Stockman has the right kind of friends.

The very best kind of friends when primaries roll around.

Ads are rarely directed toward voters who are familiar with a candidate or especially his record.

In a political sense, “saying the right things” regardless of fact wins elections. Facts without a good message go nowhere.

So today Stockman is suing a Cornyn backing PAC for using detrimental facts he previously admitted to?????? Great campaign strategy Steve.

I am moving rapidly toward Stovall, Stockman is getting too flakey.

Well, I did not know that. Guess I was focused on too few subjects lately.

Had I known it I would not have posted it.

I simply did a search to see if my title had previously posted.

My interest in this was only about the possibility that news connecting Obama to the MB takeover in the Middle East and the Benghazi attack might come from this.

Guess in the future before I post I should do a little more homework on similar articles posted.

That is why I said it would apply “after” the Primary. Assuming Cornyn is defeated in the primary.

This really should be a separate thread.

It already is. There has been a separate thread for each of the mysteriously dead bankers , here on FR, for the past week.
