When actually the problem is that the “Community leaders” of the minority communities have found out it is easier to grift on white guilt and do nothing but make matters worse than to expect and demand more of their group they represent to excel.
The Minority Children are not inherently or genetically dumb, but the attitude they have been taught from birth is what is deficient, it is a mind virus that tells them that it is always someone else’s fault they cannot learn and with no pressure to excel they slide.....
If a minority from the same group but who just got off the boat can excel then there is something grossly wrong with their native “community leader” counterparts....
Remember when society encouraged each student to do their best?
To reach their full potential, whatever that might be?
Now the government schools dumb it down to hold high performers back so they cannot do any better than the low performers.
It’s all about the liberals’ feelings, not what is best for individual students.
That’s it! Destroy everybody because there’s a perception out there in the ozone somewhere, someone got slighted.

What happens to diversity when the formerly gifted students forget how to read?

they care far, FAR more about percentages and skin color, than the kids themselves.
All that does to gifted kids is keep them from the opportunity to learn more new and more difficult material.

I saw this as a college freshman; I actually pitied those students. They quickly realized they didn’t understand some references made by professors, and the scales fell from their eyes; after a few months you didn;t see them anymore...

I work with one of these; he doesn’t understand why he hasn’t been promoted, while managers understand it was a “gentleman’s masters”. He actually believed it was real, applied to (and got) a position in another area for which his plain bachelor’s degree should have been sufficient, and was let go within a year for incompetence. Very sad; probably believes it was race-related.

They are simply foot soldiers of a machine that refuses to be honest with “preferred minorities”; they are ordered to work with percentages and skin color.

It is the cultural vacuum in which they are bred; education is not a priority at all.

West Africans and Caribbean immigrants are a great case in point, and they loathe those born here who don’t take advantage of the opportunities offered. The “community leaders” are simply grifters profiting from the “poverty industry”; they’ve taken their thirty pieces of silver. At this point the “poverty industry” has become such a source of jobs/income for so many people (the clients and providers) that it alone can elect presidents.
Except for the parents of gifted kids who are unable to afford private school. THEIR kids will get an inferior education which does not address their potential.
The REAL purpose behind the elimination of gifted programs in public schools, is to handicap the smart-but-poor kids, and make them less able to compete with the children of the "ruling class" in the job market later.
That's the whole point of Affirmative Action: to produce a group of people who know, deep in their hearts, that the only reason they have the jobs they hold, is because of AA, and the only hope they have of staying in the middle class is to make sure, by whatever means necessary, that the Democrats retain enough control to prevent even discussion of the abolition of affirmative action.
Making sure that smart black kids receive inferior eduction is part of the plan.
I knew a smart young black man. He grew up used to being the smartest guy in his peer group, and went to work in a place where he was smarter than most of the white guys he worked with.
Then he went to get his masters degree in engineering at UC Berkley, and found himself in a peer group where he was the LEAST smart. His ego shriveled up and he left in less than a year.
Maybe they couldn’t find teachers smart enough to run the gifted program. Education majors aren’t known for the stellar SAT, ACT, and GRE scores.
Those citizens whose ancestors were slaves are not of the same intellectual genetic pool. Question: Who was it most likely to be captured by the slavers? The smart? ...Or...The stupid?

My mother and sister were 10 times smarter than me. My father was a world class athlete and a wonderful artist, charcoal and oil. My sister was also an artist. My mother became a lawyer at 60 years old.
I wasn't anything spectacular, just pretty good at many things. I ALWAYS knew my limitations. It was a good thing.
ONE thing I always knew: there is ALWAYS someone SMARTER. Always.
BTW, my husband was a mechanical engineer with his degree from Berkeley. He was SO smart. He said that AA was in force to get WOMEN into engineering jobs. It was pretty much of a failure until the engineering world INVENTED jobs for women: "urban" engineer, whatever that was. There are STILL so few women engineers. It just seems to be a male job. When women didn't make it in the engineering field, it was blamed on, you guessed it, male chauvinism. Lol. SUCH a pathetic thing, that ENTIRE affirmative action crap.
Cream always rises to the top; that's the law of physics. Works for people too.
Let's hope that the young man had a grandmother who told him the TRUTH: lots of smart people around. MOST are white in this country because it is a white country, predominantly. Facts of life.

It is odd; he is foreign, reacts to race-pimps, but has nothing but contempt for American blacks.
He will have learned by now, so many years later, I hope. If not, he is living in the projects, getting welfare and producing MORE of him. Lord have mercy.
